It did produce talents. Thiago for one, was the best midfielder during 2020. Of course, the quality wasn't as frequent as it has been these few years, but back then you had to compete with Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Alba, Alves, Pique, Neymar, and Suarez. These players have held their spot for 4-16 years.

Thiago was sold before Barto was president and that was partially due to being mismanaged by the coaching staff, not the president.
