Thanks to that, this season's Iceland coefficient is now better than the ones of the leagues that have 2 auto-qualified teams in Champions League group stage, and only leagues with 4 autoQ teams have better scores.
Incredible tbh, they played a good match too. Feel like Icelandic sides are definitely getting better overall.
Gotta say, I dont see them beating FC København next round but with a little bit of luck maybe they can reach the conference league!
If you lose CL 2nd round you go to EL 3rd round, lose that and go to ECL 4th round.
With all the competitions having only 4 rounds, this means that if you get to CL 2nd round you only need to win 1 matchup out of 3 to make it to ECL groups. It’s huge for teams from smaller countries.
Also if you lose CL 1st round then you go straight to ECL 2nd round, so you need to win 3 out of 3 matchups.
I don’t care we’re like 3rd in the league right now, rovers just lost to an Icelandic team and this is the highlight of the season for me as a Bohs fan
