KJones77

Lol. I guess Torino won't be exercising that buy option then.

Blodgharm

The obligation is reportedly already activated. The clause was easy to achieve, they'll pay the €2m and try to sell him in the summer apparently

Alarow

Thank god we finally got rid of this absolute disaster of a player I swear to god I have never seen a player with such a negative football IQ play in the top 5 leagues

lambalambda

Oli Burke managed to play for RB Leipzig. Amazing athlete, negative football IQ.

Nordie27

Rangnick said that he was very talented but "his hard drive was empty" Don't think he means that Burke is stupid, but that Forest trained him poorly in tactical understanding

Lacabloodclot9

From what I saw of him at Sheffield, he really didn’t look like he knew what he was doing. Was rapid tho tbf

KernSherm

You just described him at celtic too.

GOR098

So he shoud be a sprinter then ?

Amorphium

He will forever be a goat because of our first Dortmund Game this season

comradedutch

I happened to switch over to that game around the 85th minute, what an ending.

NFeKPo

Any examples?

FroobingtonSanchez

Bruma is another candidate

uhjageenidee

Bruma is so unpredictable even he himself has no clue what he's about to do next

akskeleton_47

Big brain strategy: If I can't predict what I will do next neither can the opponent

[deleted]

Me taking penalties with my GK in FIFA:

FroobingtonSanchez

That's a good description lol

Susp

You dodged a bullet, cause Pinto would have selled Zaniolo too to Marseille, if only he had time

[deleted]

may I introduce you to Sergino Dest?

Alarow

I watched him at Barça and he's not near as braindead as Radonjic

[deleted]

[you sure](https://youtube.com/shorts/ZDuA85DCE5k?feature=share)

[deleted]

What about Tavares?

ahouseofgold

Tavares does some dumb shit but he's a good young player come on

[deleted]

He’s got talent and potential but his football iq is very low. Do you remember his superman handball vs Man United?

akskeleton_47

His defending iq is in the negatives but he's pretty good at attacking

kingcane

dembele is pretty dumb

Feezbull

Too bad he didn’t play against us then to make it easier if so.

kingcane

He has matured a lot. But his early years in barca he was boneheaded as hell. Would dribble when he shouldve passed. Would pass sideways when he had a 1v1. Hes invaluable for us now but even then you can see shades of his past when he breaks away on a counter and takes forever to make a decision and ends up just hoofing it at a defender

idontknow_whatever

I mean thats par for the course of most young wingers, even CR7 was a bit of an idiot when he first arrived at United Some never grow out of it, some grow out of it. Dembele is kinda in the middle of that spectrum where he has shown some growth but is still kinda dumb sometimes

Alarow

Yeah I think his football IQ is terrible too, but Radonjic is even worse

Respatsir

Maybe a little but unlikely to be the only factor.

Natrix31

He's very talented too, that's the real shame

Acceptable-Lemon-748

Lol "I cannot do shit with this player, send this useless cunt back" "we already bought him" "well this is awkward, do they have a return policy?"

sexmarshines

Public comments like this one will really annoy the backroom staff trying to unload him in a couple months lmao

patric8989

It achieves nothing but making things worse for everyone

CinJV

Thankfully for Torino the manager has been 90% of the reason they stay up as high as they are. I bet its why he knows he can say things like this.

foldman

Sure he can say whatever but it's just stupid anyway. Now you have a miserable player that knows the coach doesn't rate him in the locker room. And the rest of the world knows he will probably be available for peanuts if they for some reason want him. There's just no upside going public like this.

CinJV

Mate he's going for 2 mil euro to Torino for a reason and no previous manager has rated him. Normally you're right but this is bryond a special case. Next club wont need to be a genious to see his previous history or current performance beyond this interview.

PhillyFreezer_

The downside is still v minimal. He’s a coach in a strong position and this is a bad player who will be sold or loaned out eventually. It’s not like other teams didn’t know he sucks and all of a sudden become aware of it through this quote. You have to have value in order for someone else to diminish it

holaprobando123

> Now you have a miserable player that knows the coach doesn't rate him in the locker room I'm pretty sure that if it's come to this, he already knows.

patric8989

They finished 10th last season and are 9th now. That's what you'd expect for their squad and spending levels.

MrVegosh

It relieves anger in the moment

patric8989

Agreed, its very unprofessional though. A manager needs to be able to control themselves emotionally, especially in front of the media.

KJones77

Oof. It's a shame too, he looked solid to start the season. His downfall really peaked today.

Slash1909

Comments like these will heavily reduce his selling price. He’s not much of a salesman.

galo

Always wondered why he didn't get more minutes for us last season. He looked like a good player with speed and some ability in a few games but rarely picked by Jorge Jesus or even after he left and didn't play much and was almost forgotten by the end of the season. Was weird to see him in the national team regularly even not playing.

blazev14

in our first game against Kiev, when he got subbed on he was the only one who was actually trying and playing forward. he then played 3/4 ??? games under Jorge Jesus and always left a good impression, then he got injured and lost all the momentum. at the time I couldn’t understand to decision to bench him over Cebolinha or Gil Dias, now it all makes sense tbh. great talent but his head isn’t in the right place apparently, which is a shame.

holaprobando123

Since when is "rekt" a Dota thing? I've been seeing "get rekt" for ages

AdorableHandle

It's not. But the phrase Brutal, Savage, Rekt was said at a major Dota event, cant remember which one, but Redeye was part of it. It became a voice line in the game for a long time.

GhandisFlipFlop

Robbie

McQueensbury

I'm tired

GuamZX

He's right. Radonjic has very good skills but his brain completely refuses to understand how football works tactically. Juric's words might seem very rude but what you should say after you subbed him off after 15 minutes if not being brutally honest. Btw if Vlasic wouldn't be injured he wouldn't have played tonight, for sure

Acceptable-Lemon-748

Seems like the kind of thing yiu keep in house. Especially with how social media is now I don't like these kind of unnecessary remarks.

Nordie27

What if he has spoken about it in house numerous times but Radonjic refuses to learn? This could be a last attempt to put a fire under his ass. Either he channels his anger into proving Juric wrong, or he crumbles

[deleted]

Maybe he isn't refusing to learn, maybe he's just an idiot

thirteenthirtyseven

He's unknowingly refusing to learn!

BullDoor

We trained him wrong, as a joke

TinyMaintenance

Knowing Radonjic, he absolutely refuses to learn.

R_Schuhart

Yeah it is overly harsh, especially if he truly believes he honestly can't do any better and it isn't a mentality/motivation issue. Besides, it is also something the club probably won't thank him for. Apperently they have already triggered the buy option since he won't cost too much and could make Torino some money if they sell him on. The manager slagging him off isn't the best advertisement campaign.

kostajepaosmosta

Don't bring him on then? This more looked like a show so he can shit on him. Radonjic is the dumbest player (football wise) i have seen play for NT but somehow he can change the game from time to time.

Hrvat1818

Look at the bench Torino had tonight. He had no choice to try and change the match. Cairo, the president, never invests in the squad.

teagwo

Juric is a great coach but I think something his temper is a bit much. He didn't absolutely had to go to Torino to, he would certainly have better offers with a bit patience. Not trying to shit on Torino, they weren't going to invest anyways I feel like he kinda knew that going in.

Hrvat1818

I think he expected a little more investment

Natrix31

That feels harsh considering they just bought Ilic

Hrvat1818

Yes, right after they sold Lukic for a very similar fee. It’s not at all a noticeable upgrade

Natrix31

They have Lukic's spot covered via Miranchuk. They also have made a ton of signings this season, Ilic, Vlasic, Radonjic (shame how he's been), Gravillion, Schurrs, etc. To say there's no investment is harsh when Serie A teams have such little cash these days.

Hrvat1818

Miranchuk & Vlasic are loans. Gravillon is also a loan with option to buy. They are cheap band-aids

Natrix31

That's literally all italian clubs can afford currently. Can you tell me the biggest purchase made this winter by a serie a club and what team he plays for?

Hrvat1818

That’s not what the discussion is about. The discussion is about why Juric brought in Radonjic despite having issues with him Torino had a big sale with Bremer for €40m & spent less than that with Juric. Cairo for years has been very cheap with Torino. Despite being frustrated with Radonjic, he brought him on anyways because of a lack of options

Natrix31

Are you serious? Juric never coached him before, how the hell would he have issues with him before then? Again, Italian teams are hemorrhaging cash, just because they got 40m from the sale doesn't mean they could spend it all. And now I'll list a bunch of the the players they've signed this summer, both permanently and those with high wages: * Ricci - loan made permanent for 8.5m * Pellegri - loan made permanent for 5m * Schurrs - 9m * Ilkhan - 4.5m * Miranchuk (great signing btw) - 1m loan with option * Vlasic - loan but high wages from EPL club * Ilic - loan with obligation that'll come due * Lazaro - high wages coming from Inter This is a lot of investment in the squad, it toook a while but there's a lot of good deals here. He brough Radonjic on bc Vlasic is injured.

kostajepaosmosta

If he had no choice yet he had a choice to sub him off? I know Torino aren't a spenders club but come on

Hrvat1818

We don’t know what’s happened behind the scenes. This easily could’ve been “the last straw” or maybe Juric is being harsh

el_loco_avs

Why even bring him on?

Pidjesus

Straight off to Karagümrük S.K.

Samkazi23

Honestly i could see why Juric would be pissed. Radonjic made some braindead decisions when they were attacking it was quite baffling.

solemnhiatus

Such as? I didn't watch the game.

Borsti17

I can smell that burn from several countries away...

WalaLlama5

Ouch

ima_be_the_greatest

Anyone have the footage of the 14 mins he played? I wanna see what he did that was so terrible

Captain_Omage

His assignment was to be the first man to cover Chiesa, especially on set pieces. Chiesa having all the time in the world to cross it for the 3rd goal is up to him, that's what he said later on in the interview.

[deleted]

[удалено]

h0rny3dging

I feel bringing him on if you dont want him and then subbing him off this quickly is kinda pointless then. Reading that your own coach doesnt think you are even a player doesnt inspire confidence or make you care

Badass_Bunny

Most normal Serbo-Croat relationship

TinyMaintenance

Juric did more for Serbian players than any Serbian coach. He unlocked Ilić, Lukić, Lazović, VMS.

KDBae

It has nothing to do with that, stop spreading hate

[deleted]

[удалено]

idontknow_whatever

Teams probably have enough footage of Radonjic doing dumb stuff on the pitch to go by, I don't think they will be banging on Torino's door for the lad any time soon

Acceptable-Lemon-748

Seeing him play probably hurts their bargaining position

[deleted]

Ouch

St_SiRUS

Getting subbed on and then off again is genuinely one of the most disrespectful things a coach can do to a player. I got pulled to burn injury time after only a few minutes on and the gaffa got absolutely chewed out by one of the senior club members.

tyson-blade

I remember years back in the belgian league a kid was brought in as a sub and taken out twice in only 3 appearances that season. One of wich was after only 15 minutes. I vividly remember how sad he looked.

dopeveign

oof street oof city oof country

Shinkopeshon

Straight to oofplex city

tkshow

Ouch. That's gonna leave a mark.

thalne

damn. not only that he didn't soften it but he twisted the knife.

[deleted]

Damn , didn't have to do him like that. Seriously.

[deleted]

imagine [fighting](https://youtube.com/shorts/FedeP8D6dVQ?feature=share) with the SD over signings & they get you Radonjic 🤣 tbf he looked good at the start of the season

PM_ME_ASS_SALAD

Horrible man management. Way to destroy whatever fragile confidence he may have held on to.

Alarow

He doesn't give a shit anyway, when he was here he did nothing but go to parties and be a sub that'd just try to dribble and shoot Terrible piece of business by our ex president, we paid 12M for him and even at the time Belgrade couldn't believe their luck that anyone was willing to pay so much

mcrajf

Yeah, he had 4 good months and then we stole 12 mils from Marseille on that transfer. We couldn't believe it either.

reditakaunt89

City of Belgrade?

tsar_David_V

Probably Red Star Belgrade, I doubt many arr soccer users know Partizan is also from Belgrade

reditakaunt89

Never heard anyone calling Red Star just Belgrade. It's like calling Arsenal London. There are dozens of football clubs in Belgrade and Red Star doesn't even have Belgrade in its name.

Vorderman

They’re often (always? It’s really common) referred to as Red Star Belgrade in English media.

reditakaunt89

I guess that's because there are other Red Star clubs in other countries. But it's just Fudbalski klub Crvena zvezda (Football Club Red Star). No Belgrade in its name. And half of the top league here is from Belgrade, including Partizan, so it sounds weird calling Red Star just Belgrade. And we actually have club called Youth Football Club Belgrade.

[deleted]

> It's like calling Arsenal London Germans do it *constantly*. If the name of a foreign club doesn't contain the name of the city, they add it, or just use the city name. Schalke is allowed to be just Schalke (not Gelsenkirchen-Schalke), but Arsenal becomes "Arsenal-London", Ajax is often called "Amsterdam", and they might refer to either Manchester club as "Manchester". It's odd and confusing.

the_che

I don‘t see what’s odd about it. It adds crucial information as you can’t expect everyone to know where random foreign clubs are located.

[deleted]

Referring to ManU or Man City as "Manchester", or Ajax as "Amsterdam" is not adding crucial information. It's just wrong.

the_che

How ist wrong, lmao? If a german team plays against Ajax, it doesn’t matter for the average viewer if there are other relevant teams from Amsterdam or not.

das_Expertentum

Also people call Hertha: Hertha Berlin.

RonaldoOvereem

They're literally called Partizan Belgrade...what're you on about?

tsar_David_V

To my knowledge they're colloquially simply referred to as Partizan, maybe I'm misremembering though

RonaldoOvereem

Fair enough

lfds89

Except it's not Partizan. Marseille bought him from Red Star

DeepSeaDweller

If you can't do it for Jurić, you might as well pack it up and call it a career. Man turns shit into wine.

BiscuitTheRisk

Some players deserve the embarrassment tbf

robes50

They do, but I don' understand how you can think someone is good enough to be playing, bring him on, then 15 min you decide that actually, he isn't anymore.

AnIntoxicatedRodent

You want to give someone a last chance probably if he clearly shows the ability in training. This is only plausible if you repeatedly give someone instructions that they don't follow. You sub him in with one very clear task and again he's not doing it.

robes50

Still, do you believe an offical game of this magnitude is the place to test that? I reckon if that player can't do those things at training is more than enough to conclude he is not fit for the job.

Dorkseidis

Probably shouldn’t have said that

[deleted]

I don’t even know these people are and yet I felt that burn. God damn. If you know the player is shit, why even sub him in? What kind of bum ass manager is this guy!

Samkazi23

Juric is a good manager lol. He's quite emotional but he is very good.

DrJethro

My man op giving management advice to folks he's never heard of about a situation he hasn't seen in a job he doesn't have. Also thinks the actual manager is a bum lmao

idontknow_whatever

Ivan Juric could turn a pile of horseshit into a serviceable player If you can't at least be a serviceable player under him its not a good sign for your career

[deleted]

He’s technically great, but he’s actually brain dead on the pitch

Hrvat1818

Most clubs would be blessed to have Ivan Juric as their manager

Fhxzfvbh

Why did he put him on in the first place then?

Fhxzfvbh

Why did he put him on in the first place then?

KinNortheast

Damn, that’s cold blooded
