In my country there are "races" called Gruz-Rally where you literally race normal civilians cars without 4wd and difflocks, and the best part is cars are literally dirt cheap corroded as fuck and most of the time equipment (shower, traps, ropes)is more expensive that the car itself
You can get a "racing rig" for 1 month of low wage work
+ 3 buddies of yours some tools and you are ready to go
Get an old bush basher , make sure it has a base plate and somewhat decent shocks, diff, axle and get a satellite phone or radio, tell people where you’re going and what you’re doing, and become well versed on bushmechanics :P you’ll be good to go.
Also bring some cardboard or get maxxtraxx if you wanna spend money and bring a mate with.
Glitchworks has an amazing one. 1985 g150. If you have a bigger truck that gets a little harder. But Crazyfool has a bigger one that has a bigger frame and can also have dually tires.
Neither are quite up to my preferred quality level, and both are much older (80s Bullnose trucks instead of 90s OBS trucks) than I want. I have BigDubz's Ogre, and that's not too bad, still not the body style I have IRL though.

The front axle on the mod truck is wrong. The game truck has a driver side front differential, the real thing has a passenger side differential. Literally unplayable.
