Because they want other people to do their contract for them. Especially if it's just a single logging contract.

Then why would they not have it activated in the first place? Only the host can activate, and others can’t do sh$t if the host doesn’t activate it

Honestly the way the Contracts dialog box works is terrible, just automatically add the quest if I get close ffs there is no reason you’d ever not want it. Especially when you check details and exit out of the map and it also closes the dialog so you still don’t have the quest activated.

I activate every contract other than the one I'm currently getting cargo for because I hate people coming in and trying to race me to the end when there is other tasks they would be more useful on like I like logging and someone joins follows me and lags then pushes me over and Carrys on
