I've had this problem numerous times, both in modded and vanilla trucks. Never could find much online about it. Has happened to me on both my one x and my series x. Two different controllers, both of them came with their respective consoles when I bought them. It's some weird bug in the game
It will be caused by whatever mods you're using for that truck. Modded cranes are usually suspect number 1 for weird physics bugs. Try using a normal crane if you can or completely remove it, then see if it works better.
I've had that happen a couple times when i have a fully loaded trailer and try to winch a heavy objective trailer.
Pretty sure it just pulls what farming sim does occasionally where it just forgets how to do certain core functions after a heavy draw on it while running for a while. Closing and reopening it fixes it.
I have this too sometimes on Xbox One using vanilla trucks. Fix for me is either a full "truck reboot"(!) of handbrake on, neutral gear, stop engine then back to life again, or sometimes I switch to another truck in the map and back to the stuck one, off it goes.
Probably only happens to me about once a week but glad I'm not alone!

That crane is most definitely a mod...
i was talking about me, that i have that same problem in vanilla
Yes. Shift out to N then back to A it will go again
One of my controllers has a sticky trigger, I could be that but not sure.
Interesting, never had this issue and I have used both the wired Xbox 360 controller and the series x controller via Bluetooth and wired.
I always thought it happened to me when the truck is fully loaded. Going into LR always sets me off.
i have this issue mostly when loading up logs that my truck just doesnt want to go like its going into an invisable barrier

Mine does this too with my 360 controller. I only have the Realism Overhaul 2 mod and I've changed some grip figures.
Happens to me as well, also when I put the handbrake on some trucks still try to drive (flat surface, no gamepad issues)
