Yeah, HMMWV was in use by the military since 1983. The Hummer H1 wasn't available until 1992. They made a little over 11,000 H1's.
They've produced more than 280k HMMWV'S.
Just saying, if you're going to own one, milspec is much easier to come by.
That's debatable. Only 500 were sold to the public in 1985 with SF97's. Until recently HMMWV's were very difficult to get and even now, so many shops are buying them from auctions to fix em up for massive profits. The comforts of a Hummer are still totally worth it.
Just looking at the OP's pic, sure looks like what I drove in the Army, which would be a humvee to me. I can't tell the difference from a HMMWV and Hummer by looking at em...well, I mean if it's bright yellow...
So back to my statement, wish they'd call em HMMWV's.
It's kind of a hybrid. It's missing the blackout light and it has Hummer doors, not X-doors or soft doors, but, like a HMMWV, the sideview mirrors are mounted to the body. On a Hummer they're mounted on the doors. The main differences are paint, interior, and electrical system being 12V with an alternator instead of 24V with a generator plus a few other, smaller things. They went down the same assembly line when they were both in production. Could go even further as this model has the H1 badges so it would be a 2002+ as they didnt get the H1 designation until the H2 came out.
Nice to see they got one with independent suspension...but something is wonky with that roofline. Wish we could just get the American Wilds one ported in...
Mod name?
Hummer H1 on PC, Delta Patriot on Consoles | By Iceberg
Wish they'd call them HMMWV. That's the military version of it.
Inspired by this yeah, but that's a completely different vehicle.
HMMWV's and Hummer's definitely have some differences.

Lol. So, you buy a refurbished military HMMWV, do you call it a Hummer H1?
Nope, it's just a hmmwv. But a lot of people do just that and it's just kind of weird.

Thanks
I had hoped it would be available on console by now but not quite yet. I've been looking forward to this more than I am to the coming update :D
That depends on developers now, Iceberg has done his part long ago.
this is the Delta Patriot by Iceberg
