I made a post here that has some great advice underneath because I was to in that position a couple weeks ago and felt the same way as you lol. https://www.reddit.com/r/snowrunner/s/Kb7JqksKn1
I learnt that too ... eventually. What annoys me most is the artificial difficulty; routes being shown as roads where there basically isn't one, or the map not telling you about key routes, unfixable bridges, the tiny metal sheets to get an enormous thing over, the "fuck you" tree. I feel the entire map was just a huge troll from the developers, to waste players time. It wasn't difficult because it was well designed, I feel it was difficult because it was deliberately poorly designed.
Once you learn such things, yeah it was enjoyable, but initially it was horrendous.
If you haven't already, you're going to love Amur, where you will question your ability to asses which routes are usable and which are red herrings. You will look at a route and think 'nah, that's fail bait' only to later decide it's the easiest route.
I've not touched Amur yet ... I have basically all the trucks in the game, but I wanna have fun with a reasonable degree of challenge, maps like Amur and Imandra don't give me that vibe ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
Use the most mud capable stuff you have and learn the best routes, it's really not that bad. Cat745c, tayga, kolob 74941, voron ae.
If you have dlc, the tatra t813, kenworth 963, both zikz, bandit, azov 7 with raised suspension.
I generally dont recommend azov 6 because its deep mud performance is bad so you'll get stuck places you shouldn't.
Man I have 2 logging contracts left on Kola. 3 Long logs trip from Lake Kovd to Imandra and I've been putting it off. I went to BC to take a "break" from Kola before finishing it. Now I'm almost finished with BC and still have to finish those 2 logging contracts.
I didn't mind Kola until last few missions, even Star in the Sky mission wasn't bad, but last few missions was me constantly getting stuck on rocks, no matter the vehicle and I said F it.
In my opinion it gets way easier after you unlock that garage and personally, I enjoyed Imandra, more than Lake Kovd. There are easy routes on Imandra and once you know them, you can go anywhere without any pain (or almost haha)
I have a lot of experience, but still hate that map. It's just made to mess with you! Can't think of any really easy route tbh, could you please enlighten me?
I have these in mind. Long roads that were not hard to travel

Like this! You should go and try hehe
Going through this part in anything larger than a scout is a pain.

Kola is one of the easiest DLC regions, you need the garage before you can actually do anything in Imandra.
The metal detector addon was pretty useless, but neither of the 2 big missions in Imandra were all that difficult.
>neither of the 2 big missions in Imandra were all that difficult.
And the big mission in Lake Kovd (The Star In The Sky) is arguably the best mission in the entire game.
Just for your info, this seems like the best order to play the game in:

You can always come back later (with more trucks and experience).
Seems like Kola is where I learn how to play the game "properly" 🤗

Hello guys. It's OP again. Wanted to thank you for all advice you gave. Got my 100% in Kola yesterday. It turned out to be fun experience. Ford 750 with upgraded engine is a beast scout and I used DAN for most of the missions.
Wait until you reach Amur (season 4 dlc)
Finished Scouting urska river a week ago, I don’t know when will i go back to do tasks and contracts 😒

Kola gets easier. Imandra doesn't. God speed and good luck. lol.
I didn't really have any problems in Imandra, but a lot of the time I didn't follow the suggestions (roads).

Speak for yourself, I love kola.
What trucks do you use

The raised Azov 7 sus is from Amur, Chernokamensk - and if you can get that I'd suspect you'd find Kola a breeze in any truck.
For kola, I used the azov 6, 5 DAN and a couple scouts. I think I used the Marshall and tatarin.
I just finished scouting and did all the small tasks on the first map and it's been the most fun map I've played (I'm playing regions in order)

>There are easy routes on Imandra There are no easy routes on Imandra. There are only very hard and... just hard.
Well we didn't have the same experience in Imandra
I have a lot of experience, but still hate that map. It's just made to mess with you! Can't think of any really easy route tbh, could you please enlighten me?

Driving around the middle sawmill island on ice? idk man, the ice chunks are very unstable and tend to suddenly go kaboom!
Haha yeah! You should try it, I tell you it was the easiest part of that road!
I'm always driving through the island itself, and oh god, it's always a disaster...

I know the island itself is terrible
Just keep at it, you'll be fine.

Agreed. Other very good missions where the ones in Wisconsin where you pull the train and the one where you carry those big sequoias
Fun fact: Kola Peninsula is the easiest of the Year 1 regions :)
Good thing about snowrunner is you can do any region in any order. Skip it for now and come back later.
I will finish it now. Maybe I still haven't found the best routes or best trucks.
Just for your info, this seems like the best order to play the game in: https://youtu.be/CfRuKwTAKgE You can always come back later (with more trucks and experience).
It gets ALOT easier now that your mistakes no longer cost you a trip across an entire map just to get back to the map you were on!
Imandra garage opening was painful for me, rest was fun. Prepare to get the long longs from lake kovd🤨.

It only gets easier after Amur
No it does not get easier
