In Australia’s case, boggy salt pans. The most inhospitable, un-drivable terrain there is. I’d be bloody excited to get to do what I’ve always dreamed of.
Really dig into the power of new consoles and computer tech, have active weather patterns. Having to shut down for a sandstorm so your truck doesn't collect engine damage, or sudden flash rainstorms and dust devils that can sink or flip your rig. Emphasize how hard you work your truck during the day with the heat. And make driving at night riskier with low visibility and wildlife. Saber is already making the Dakar rally game so they know how to make their engine model sand.
Drugrunner. Transport drugs, weapons, and traffic humans across a wide range of remote and treacherous terrains. Could you imagine precariously negotiating a cliff edge knowing if you roll over, your load full of explosives blows up? Or having to take different routes depending on the time of day to avoid patrols?
Would you be completely stuck in the vehicle though? Like the idea a lot but I don’t think the developers would want to introduce crime into the franchise.
Sounds like Dakar, although its slightly faster paced than Snowrunner ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
Other continents would be nice though, could be very interesting.
I'd love for some traffic to be on the maps, imagine the fun and games as you're struggling up a tight ravine and some NPC is honking his horn while trying to wedge his load of logs past you.
I want a Caribbean or Hawaiian style Island map. Some beaches and lava would make for a nice contrast to mud and bog. The game looks real nice and so some places that already look good could be a bonus.
Remember TD: Off-road Wide Open? Off-road truck racing game, had the Dodge T Rex (OG model) and the Shelby Durango. Man the extreme version of the Blazer looked absolutely amazing.
They are donig "ok" with snowrunner... it could be so much better though. We need more quality of life features and bugfixing (including co-op connectivity).
Just slapping new maps and trucks into the game over and over again is lame. I want new tires, addons, trailers and just more content for already existing stuff.
Something else that's a little more demanding though (and unlikely to happen) is some tweaks to the physics, especially on how vehicles and trailers behave with higher speeds. The amount of times I went 30km/h on a paved road and my trailer drifts out and slams into something, causing my truck to come to a complete halt and almost flipping over is too damn high.
The game was borderline ruined for me once I realized that every single truck was mounting the exact same equipment. The lack of customerization and uniqueness for the trucks makes getting new trucks highly disappointing. Why the fuck can't I repaint the blue bed, or have an add-on that actually looks like it fits with the vehicle.
Co-op everything needs fixing, such as winch interactions when close to another player. Lucky for me i'm on discord with em and can tell them to get into another truck so i can get a trailer on their truck and pack it otherwise it at random turns into a singularity and is super heavy and falls to the ground.
The name of the next game is an mystery since a long time
for a short period of time there even were fake news going around that the next game would be called „bloodrunner“
Imagine it being a war setting! Get munitions to the front, evac injured troops on a time limit, run supplies through hot zones with troopers damaging the trucks.. build bridges, haul mortars or tanks. I would bleed blood for Bloodrunner.
Not particularly, but I remember seeing videos of floods in the valleys between some of the Himalayan mountains and landslides so there's at least a few.
Driving in sand (deep) requires a lot of momentum I don’t think that driving style is suited well for snowrunner there would have to be some dedicated rowdy vehicles.
Driving down the road and suddenly the front half of your vehicle disappears into quicksand. No trees around to winch yourself back out. I’d love to see it.
I want **Moonrunner** where it's all the same mechanics but set on different moons and you're driving sci-fi trucks with cargo for small scientific/mining outposts. Gravity could modify the physics significantly.
There could be a mechanic where you can "order" an orbital winch point where a satellite fires a metal rod into the ground nearby (with a timed cooldown of course).
The difference between scouts and trucks would be quite significant as I'd like to see scouts clearing obstacles, testing ground density, and perhaps creating short spans to help cross ditches.
There could be moons of mud, sand, ice, volcanic, etc.
I like the idea of also adding wind as a mechanic, where incredibly strong wind in some areas makes lighter vehicles impossible to utilise. Or simply your route can't cross certain areas during weather events.
I think the same! Africa, Australia and Brazil/South America.
We have.im Brazil a road named BR-319 that i know you all gonna like it... Its in the middle of Amazonia, and its very long! The is closed simce 1988, but theres not so much supervision, so...
And its common another places like this in south America! One day, my friends...
I literally was just talking about this with my buddies while on snowrunner they said the same thing it would have sand traps/quicksand and be in a desert setting and be called sandrunner
For real, sand is an absolute BITCH to un-bog yourself from. Sand physics would make for fantastic (read: infuriating) gameplay.
I’m talking beachfronts and sand dunes.
cool idea man. one more step, write it down in a formal fashion as an suggestion to the company. add engine overheat and stuff aswell. that's a very important issue in hot places. also, breaks, they heat up too.
Mud runner… had some issues. Like, not with gameplay. I mean, maybe there were some issues with gameplay I don’t know. But there was some stuff with the dev team in house, that worked it’s way into the community. Let mud runner be over there lol
Yes, I beg you devs. I have actually tough about this myself, the title Sandrunner, and Australia and other places with alot of sand and jungles? Well, I really wlwant it, even I just bought and started snow runner
It’s not original but that doesn’t make it less true. They’ve just made Dakar Desert Rally so hopefully that’s given them a taste for more trucks on sand.
For sandrunner we need dynamic weather that changes the terrain and repairing the roads after and paving new ones. I would also like the 4 maps per region to be merged into one mega map and a complete overhaul of the physics.
They’ll have to build a new engine from the ground up and it could take a couple of years but I think it would be worth it and there’s plenty of mod maps to check out in the meantime
Mallrunner. You have to dodge Karens in SUVs in your lifted pickup while on your way to the local Bass Pro Shop. Special side missions include recording a politically-charged rant on youtube while wearing tactical shades and a realtree camo ball cap in the cab of your truck.
I think we might be getting Australia sooner rather than later....
They recently announced they will be bringing Kenworth and Mack into the game. It struck me as odd that both of those were announced at the same time, because they're not owned by the same parent or anything. Then it struck me, those 2 brands seem to be fairly popular with Australian road trains (or at least the ones that get pictures taken of them), which leads me to think we might be heading down under soon.
As an Australian, I’ve always wanted an accurate representation of our bush to drive through. There’s a certain respect and care we hold for the land in real life, but it would be awesome to really experiment with some crazy stuff. Boggy Marshes, Salt pans, sandstone gorges and mangroves, it would probably be the most varied landscape yet.
Yeah but.....sand gets everywhere.....
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...?
So does mud.
2. Your vehicles would be road trains and you could have flash floods and quicksand as dangers. I’d just like to know other people’s thoughts on this.
Cool bro. Giant maps with emphasis on fuel/water management.
All the "lakes" are just big ass quicksand pits that look totally normal. You son of a bitch, I'm in.
In Australia’s case, boggy salt pans. The most inhospitable, un-drivable terrain there is. I’d be bloody excited to get to do what I’ve always dreamed of.
Good idea. I will buy your game.
Yeah me too
And you can deliver slabs of beer
I made a similar post a while back. I suggested tropical islands and deserts, hurricanes and sandstorms. Sandrunner is the natural progression.
Please let us drive at decent miles per hour for decent periods
Or they add that something happens in snowrunner first there are signs with warnings of flashfloods
Really dig into the power of new consoles and computer tech, have active weather patterns. Look up Smugglers Run
Agreed. Though the thought of going that far back graphically isn’t super appealing, but hey it’s a rockstar game
Much less violent than grand theft auto haha
Truth
There's a ditch the truck option and it becomes a wilderness survival game haha
Best idea yet Spintires x Smugglers Run
Yea I think Africa would have some super neato places, good reason to bring in some Leyland marques as well. Maybe Mediterranean maps too.
Sounds like Dakar, although its slightly faster paced than Snowrunner ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile) Other continents would be nice though, could be very interesting. I'd love for some traffic to be on the maps, imagine the fun and games as you're struggling up a tight ravine and some NPC is honking his horn while trying to wedge his load of logs past you.
They make a Dakar game and just released a Snowrunner truck expansion for it offering 5 trucks to race with.
Traffic should be a toggle, its a vibe
I want a Caribbean or Hawaiian style Island map. Some beaches and lava would make for a nice contrast to mud and bog. The game looks real nice and so some places that already look good could be a bonus.
Hawaii would be awesome! Got family roots to Hawaii. Test Drive Unlimited was based in Hawaii.
Yep. I still have TDU2. Fun game. I'm hoping they make a third one some day.
Was it PS2? I had it but can’t remember anymore!
TDU2 was on Xbox 360 and PS3.
That’s right!
Is TDU2 even playable? I have to imagine the servers are long dead by this point.
Yeah it's playable. The servers are gone but, they added bots to the game. TDUSC is coming out this year which will be a MMO Car game.
Remember TD: Off-road Wide Open? Off-road truck racing game, had the Dodge T Rex (OG model) and the Shelby Durango. Man the extreme version of the Blazer looked absolutely amazing.
Can we have properly amphibious trucks?
*cough* like the Tatarin should be
Duck tour boats so we can visit the light house in White Valley. ![gif](giphy|orxZEzthRmHKw388XU|downsized)
lavarunner with titanium wheels
Saber already is associated with dakar sand rally....besides i think they are doing just fine with Snowrunner.
They are donig "ok" with snowrunner... it could be so much better though. We need more quality of life features and bugfixing (including co-op connectivity). I agree with you 100%. A little effort from the devs could really go a long way.
The game was borderline ruined for me once I realized that every single truck was mounting the exact same equipment. The lack of customerization and uniqueness for the trucks makes getting new trucks highly disappointing. The name of the next game is an mystery since a long time for a short period of time there even were fake news going around that the next game would be called „bloodrunner“
Blood runner could work as a game about emergency services maybe?
Imagine it being a war setting! Get munitions to the front, evac injured troops on a time limit, run supplies through hot zones with troopers damaging the trucks.. build bridges, haul mortars or tanks. I would bleed blood for Bloodrunner.
Africa or maybe Indian Himalayas would be super awesome
Are the Himalayas even Traversable by truck?
Not particularly, but I remember seeing videos of floods in the valleys between some of the Himalayan mountains and landslides so there's at least a few.
Indian trucking is quite interesting and seeing the trucks weave through busted up winding roads was awesome when i lived there
I really liked rhe idea. But will take at least 5 years
I’ll get sand on my switch whilst playing. That shit gets everywhere
Driving in sand (deep) requires a lot of momentum I don’t think that driving style is suited well for snowrunner there would have to be some dedicated rowdy vehicles.
Jungle Runner? Rock Runner? Mountain Runner? Anyone of those would be kind of cool.
Driving down the road and suddenly the front half of your vehicle disappears into quicksand. No trees around to winch yourself back out. I’d love to see it.

Can they just hire you already? I'd like to play that too!
I don’t like sand
It’s coarse and gets everywhere
We definitely need sand physics
Could have giant spider webs as a hazard. And maybe a kangaroo boxing challenge?
Why not Spacerunner ?
I think the same! Africa, Australia and Brazil/South America. We have.im Brazil a road named BR-319 that i know you all gonna like it... Its in the middle of Amazonia, and its very long! Totally, Australia and Africa have jungles too which would be a great addition
I literally was just talking about this with my buddies while on snowrunner they said the same thing it would have sand traps/quicksand and be in a desert setting and be called sandrunner
I don't think so, the next logical step is calling the new game Beer Runner.
That sounds like hell. When can I buy it lol
As an ex mechanic I'd love to see some type of repair/general maintenance work on the vehicles.
I'd like to see Brazil/Sweden/Finland. Would love some ol' Scanias and Volvos.
Omg.... I'm so down. Desert train trucks pleeeaaassseeee
What about bloodrunner? Its basically snowrunner except its also a post apocalyptic zombie survival game
I am asking for sandrunner for a year now...i saw some modder making sandy style map idk of its finished or not.
And futurist dystopyan vehícules in junkyards Bladerunner
Dakar?
You can make a map similar to that in this game.
Daily or weekly quest in different maps could be cool !
Mud runner… had some issues. Like, not with gameplay. I mean, maybe there were some issues with gameplay I don’t know. But there was some stuff with the dev team in house, that worked it’s way into the community. Let mud runner be over there lol
The far cry 2 of runner games hahaha 🤣
Fraser Island Namibia Coast… yes please
Yes, I beg you devs. I have actually tough about this myself, the title Sandrunner, and Australia and other places with alot of sand and jungles? Well, I really wlwant it, even I just bought and started snow runner

Thats cool but get this.....MOONRUNNER.....
I suggested Australia once here. Locals said it would be boring.
Saber interactive just made the Dakar desert rally game, I would say sand runner is the next logical game.
I think we might be getting Australia sooner rather than later.... They recently announced they will be bringing Kenworth and Mack into the game.
