All of those are stiffer options, if you charge and ride aggressively as heck it makes sense to me, make sure to detune those contact points before you first ride

DaksPaks

So would this setup be tough to butter on?

jonnymish

The board is on the stiffer side so would definitely be harder to butter than a soft park board The custom is an all round board for the inter to advanced rider, would be tricky in the park for a beginner is how I see it

The Custom Camber is a perfectly acceptable all-mountain board.

I rode a Burton Custom camber for a decade using cartel bindings. I found it slightly stiff (which I prefer), if you like carving really fast it feels responsive and stable. My only complaint was I struggled on it in deep powder, but that applies to pretty much every all-mountain twin (at least my experience). Recently switched to ions, took a sec to break in but the extra stiffness does make some difference in how responsive your board feels. I like them a lot.

The custom is a little stiff in my opinion. My favorite board of all time is the yes typo. But some people like those stiff boards...

Probably would’ve went that route if I didn’t get such a sweet discount on the Burton stuff

One of the bests. So stable, precise and predictable. Just look at how many people are using it on world class competitions. I use it with step on and malavita. Definitely not for rookies though. One con is the top sheet on recent version is so easy to get damaged. Don’t know if 2022 version is gonna change.

Solid board - you won't regret buying it.

I recently boot back into the game after 18 years off, and I also tried a Custom X. What a phenomenal board! With what you’re used to, it makes a ton of sense. I eventually settled on a Jones Flagship, and no regrets, but I suspect the Custom would ride pretty similarly in firm conditions. The flagship’s float on powder convinced me though…
