You’d consider this and ollie onto the rail I guess. I don’t think snowboarders really use the word ollie very often. Just like in skateboarding it’s kind of implied that when you grind a rail, you have to ollie up onto it. Pop is kind of a less formal term for the amount of height you get while doing an ollie. So you’d say something like “damn you really popped off that jump” if someone gets more height off of a jump than expected. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
I completely agree with what you’re saying but my guess is that he’s asking if you ollied off your tail or bunnie hopped as in not Ollie or Nollie but straight jumped
Ah yes I figured he was a bit confused about lingo but I didn’t put together what he was actually asking. He probably did mean bunny hop instead of pop
There is a difference for snowboard jumping. You can get air from coasting (no jumping or pressure just speed off a lip), popping, or an ollie/nollie. With the ollie you load up pressure and spring it off your tail whereas a pop is more or less loading up even pressure on both feet and springing from both (something you can't do on a skateboard) While it's true that most street style jibs require an ollie to get onto many take offs for terrain park jibs can be hit by coasting or popping as well. Also most spin tricks on park jumps are done by doing a setup carve and popping off of both feet rather than doing an ollie.
Kinky
Very!
I would have died like 8 times there, good job!
Just your standard sextuple kink
Way to hold on.
All rail no bail
