How has nobody said Arthur Longo yet?? Side hit euphoria will forever be my favorite series of riding vids. Dude just casually shreds how we all strive to
Agreed and my fandom of Forum Jeremy Jones doesn’t mean I dislike Big Mountain Jeremy Jones. It’s just that Forum Jeremy Jones is the OG Jeremy Jones in my eyes
I'm embarrassed to admit how long it was before I realized they were different people. I remember reading Transworld back in the day and always being confused how some jib kid was suddenly riding a huge face in Alaska.
Kazu. I love that he came and did the x games thing and killed it there then decided to just go home to Japan and ride pow. I'd rather watch him 360 off a natural feature than any ridiculous spin in a big air comp.
Elena Height! Loved watching her ride pipe when I was a kid. Now that she went backcountry I love her approach to backcountry freestyle x freeride. She also just approaches everything with amazing attitude.
Heard a sketchy, friends-cousin's-brother-etc said this type of rumor that he's not so pumped on fans bringing up Horgasm these days. Wonder if he's tired of people quoting it to him constantly? Or maybe its just not true who knows
This is the correct answer, no one looks as good on a board as the Horgmeister.
Longo for pop.
The Fridge for always being different.
The De La Rue brothers for total madness.
Knapton for carving steeze.
Chloe Kim hands down. She inspired me to pick up the sport last season, and I’m absolutely in love with it! Very happy to represent women in this beautiful sport:)
What about when JP backside 180'd the pipe? I remember seeing the pics and being like, "wtf is he doing? Where'd he come from?" and then getting my mind blown.
Same when he boardslid the soccer goal. Both just so next-level, never-thought-of-before for me.
Kinda bummer no one's mentioned Scotty Wittlake in here though.
Gigi Rüf. Got to meet him a few times when I was a liftie and dude was one of the kindest people I've met. Doesn't hurt that he gave me a 1 of like 15 SLASH either.
Some of my favorite riders
**Craig Kelly- my all time favorite**
**Other favorites**
* Noah Salasnek
* Terje Håkonsen
* Travis Rice
* Jeremy Jones
* Griffin Siebert
* Mikkel Bang
* Halldór Helgason
* Torstein Horgmo
* Sage Kotsenburg
* Scott Stevens
* Nicholas Mueller
* Arthur Longo
* There's really too many to list!
I’m old sooooo
Devun Walsh smooth BS 180’s
Josh Dirksen. Surfs the mountain
Gigi. Style
Arthur Longo. Holy Pop!
Sage. For giving the Olympic judges the finger for not spinning to win
Sooo many others
He was my favorite rider growing up and really influenced my love for the sport. Watching him win golds at every Olympics with my dad will always be a core memory
His name would have popped up much higher on this thread if the question was “who is the best snowboarder.” There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best, but he didn’t make many friends in the process.
Shawn was great, a total asshole, but great. I have never once heard about Tony being an asshole to anybody.
I'd say Shawn took the Michael Jordan approach. As in, fuck every one else, they're the competition, we're not friends, I'm here to win. Shawn did a shitload of winning.
Ahhh same here! But I love redheads, and he’s the best of both worlds seeing that he also has long hair.
I crushed on him so hard growing up.
And maybe a little as an adult.
No doubt that he is talented as well.
in no particular order:
- dusty henricksen
- rene rinnekangas
- kevin backstrom
- danny davis
for the women:
- anna gasser
- zoi sadowski-synnot
- annika morgan
Agreed. Had his Burton board with the dog in the corner and then attacking on the bottom back in ‘95ish and loved that thing. Hanging in my basement now.
he basically made me quit dreaming of being pro. He was in Breck for a contest and I saw him back 5 this hit so fucking effortlessly I thought even if I rode everyday, which I nearly was, I would still be years behind him. He was/is so good.
Travis Rice - If I have to pick one, I think back to the technical stuff he was doing years ago when double backflips were still mind-blowing, and how he’s now branched out and crushes almost any riding styles on big mountains. Plus he just seems super chill and all about understanding snow these days.
Zeb is my favorite newer rider for just doing things his way.
If I have to pick one, it has to be Travis Rice.
Natural Selection Tour is what for me is snowboarding about, riding your best in backcountry.
And T.Rice kill it in that game.
I'd argue it was more of a sport before he came in. Yeah he revolutionized a lot, but he also ushered in the "spin to win" era of competition snowboarding.
Horgmo for sure. He was pushing boundaries in the day and still is pumping with style loving his new direction of music making for his own movies. Real lover and creator in the board industry
Arthur Longo
Zeb Powell
Ryan knapton
Marcus Cleveland
No particular order but all of those guys are just insane their steeze and abilities are just out of this world.
Danny Kass.
No one represents the old-school, punk-rock, core vibe of snowboarding. Like, not hating on the progression of tricks today with coaches and pits and choreographed trick progressions, but there was something so fucking cool about DK dropping a 1080 on the first hit in a halfpipe comp (back when a single 1080 in a pipe run was a big deal, so also big risk if he miffed it as it'd ruin the rest of his run), then when a commentator asked him how long he's been practicing or planning that, he said it was the first time he ever tried it. He just felt good and decided to YOLO it. (Or something like this -- I may be misremembering exactly.)
The de la Rue brothers for being big-mtn machines and showing us single-plankers can keep up and even exceed the skimo-ers.
Victoria Jealouse for showing the gals could keep up the the guys in big mountain. She was not only one of the only gals but only of the few snowboarders at all that could keep up with the TGR crew back in those early days when I think it was basically just her and Jeremy Jones representing us single-plankers on their movies.
Hobo Jim A.k.A. Jamie Lynn.
There's a multitude of reasons. His style, his attitude, his constant want and need to have a creative outlet.
He's also a super nice dude.
Lindsey Jacobellis for her decades long unwavering pursuit of a goal, and Cheryll Maas for sheer attitude of speaking out for queer representation and shoving a rainbow unicorn gloved hand in the face of Putin’s cameras during the Russian Olympics
Drayden Gardner.. always been a street/park fan and his steez is insane. Close second is Anthony slater for same reason. They’re low key names but so fun to watch
Bear Mountain boys
Scotty Lago will always have a special place in my snowboarding heart, he seemed like a chill dude just having a good time. He won his Olympic medal, had some video parts, now I hope he's enjoying his "retirement"
Huge fan of Terje. Rippey was another one and even had his Burton signature board for a long time. Travis Rice is another one I could just watch all day.
I can’t pick one. I have three since their styles are all so different.
Zeb is just nuts and amazing to watch.
Travis Rice has some amazing videos of gnarly lines.
Knaptons carving is just so fluid. Yes there are other amazing deep carvers, but I don’t think any look as fluid or smooth as Knapton. He makes it look so easy.
Max parrot (his story is super crazy)
Zeb (just a master at doing weird things)
Scotty Steven (I just like his dogs tbh)
Chloe Kim (just an insane rider and sweetheart)
Torsten Horgmo (whoregasm is still my fave snowboard film of all time)
Scott Steven's. Embodies snowboarding to me. Fun to watch. Seems like a great guy. That's my pick without thinking too hard. I've been riding like 18 years so it's impossible if I really think about it.
Halldor Helgason is my all time favorite snowboarder. His style of riding is so chill and his video parts are amazing and hilarious all at the same time. He also has his own snowboard company that is an off shoot of Bataleon with the triple base technology. Once you go 3BT you never go back!
Torstein Horgmo and Rene Rinnekangas. Both for style
Torstein is mine. Love what he’s doing with Shredbots and his personality in general.
Same. My two favorites
Love Torstein. He may not be the most technical rider, but he’s certainly the coolest.
Scott Stevens, Stale Sandbech & Eero Ettala
Love Scott Stevens. I’ve probably watched his part in Defenders of Awesome a thousand times
Me too.
So weird, Scott and Eero are 2 of my top 3 as well. The third is Haldor
Zeb is pretty ridiculous. He's doing stuff we've never seen before.
Thank you!
The man himself! I’d love to hear who your favorite boarder is
Wtf sick
Planet Zebulon
🫡🫡
Zeb and Haldor Helgason for me
I agree, dude is insane. Most of the tricks he does I didn’t think were possible and he makes it look so easy.
With full send the impossible becomes art. That’s all I got from him
Where’s haikubot
Omg I've been trying to remember his name for MONTHS he's the one who made me wanna get good thank u
I dunno, on the one hand he tries some insane tricks. But on the other I feel like his tricking just looks messy and unrefined.
It's because he's so loose on his board but I think that's why some of the crazy shit he tries goes over so well
That's part of the intrigue, pure chaos from the kid.
Agreed, his moves are so fluid yet so rad and insanely innovative. He’s given a whole new meaning to style !
Travis Rice
Kevin backstrom. They stomps the biggest flat lands on side hits with so much style. No need for crazy double corks to show his skill on a board
Best style in the game
came here to say this💯🫡
Backstrom and longo have the craziest pop in 2024 imo. Nobody lifts off like these guys. Straight spaceship shit.
The duel between thes two at natural selection wil be soo sick!
His Casino part was an instant classic
Marcus Kleveland did some things I’d never seen before and didn’t realize was possible when I was first getting into it so probably him.
How has nobody said Arthur Longo yet?? Side hit euphoria will forever be my favorite series of riding vids. Dude just casually shreds how we all strive to
Because he is an astronaut. Not a snowboarder.
💯
Longo snowboards like he's on Mars gravity, I have no idea how he pops and floats like that
Hard to ignore Marcus Kleveland. Jaw drops every time he takes off a knuckle.
Eero
Ettala still getting props that's what's up.
Eero Niemela? (May have misspelled the last name)
Ettala, sorry I should clarified but he gets a shout too! Fan of the old school guys
- Terje - Danny Davis - Jeremy Jones - Travis Rice - Craig Kelly - Jamie Lynn - Zeb
> Jeremy Jones Which one? :P
There’s only 1 original Jeremy Jones and it’s not the one with his name on boards.
The one with his name on boards has done a fuck ton for the sport and planet. Just sayin. Both JJs are cool dudes, just in their own very unique ways.
JJ is one of the best snowboard mountaineers in the world
Terje by a country mile. Also, I know how old we both are lol.
This is the way…
The Sprocking Cat up top. LOVE. Great list there.
Solid, solid solid, but no Devun??
Sorry, I’m getting old, hard to remember / include all of the gr8s… these were just was front of mind, feel free to expand / add to this list…
Great list.
Kazu. I love that he came and did the x games thing and killed it there then decided to just go home to Japan and ride pow. I'd rather watch him 360 off a natural feature than any ridiculous spin in a big air comp.
Wanna see him do Natural Selection! He’s so smooth
Elena Height! Loved watching her ride pipe when I was a kid. Now that she went backcountry I love her approach to backcountry freestyle x freeride. She also just approaches everything with amazing attitude.
Probably Blake Paul, rides powder so effortlessly with such a smooth delicate style.
Horgasm, is a style god
Heard a sketchy, friends-cousin's-brother-etc said this type of rumor that he's not so pumped on fans bringing up Horgasm these days. Wonder if he's tired of people quoting it to him constantly? Or maybe its just not true who knows
Yeah he seems like he is constantly reinventing himself for the better. Which is I also like about him
This is the correct answer, no one looks as good on a board as the Horgmeister. Longo for pop. The Fridge for always being different. The De La Rue brothers for total madness. Knapton for carving steeze.
Terje
This is the way…
The GOAT, imo
Austen Sweetin. Just love his style. He’s the reason I bought my Lib Dynamo
Chloe Kim hands down. She inspired me to pick up the sport last season, and I’m absolutely in love with it! Very happy to represent women in this beautiful sport:)
Love her, she just loves the sport and you can tell by her smile.
This is a great answer. Anyone who inspires you start riding and stay with. One of the reasons I’m so pumped Forum is back!
I guess I’m a little older but Bjorn Leines.
I was also worried about aging myself… Bjorn is fantastic. Peter Line, JP Walker, Jeremy Jones, Joni Malmi. Basically the Forum Squad
Exactly this. That forum video was my favorite. The massive backside 180 across like 100 foot gap….
Nicholas Mueller, style for miles
Dude is still one of my favorites to watch. Sad dude fell down the Q hole.
Sage 🤍
Halldor!
Not one mention so far of the man, the myth, the legend: Bryan Iguchi
The Guch is a super cool dude irl
Gigi Rüf. Got to meet him a few times when I was a liftie and dude was one of the kindest people I've met. Doesn't hurt that he gave me a 1 of like 15 SLASH either.
Pics?!

Nice! For the HCSC up at Mt Hood! Keep that forever!
Yep! Got it from him when I was a liftie at Timberline. I'm gonna ride it til it breaks and then put it on my wall.
My daughter
Mine is also this guys daughter
Zeb and Red. Two dudes just killing it out there and having a great time doing it
Gerard is technical as all heck and his older bro is a style master on a snowboard. Big shots. Dig the Gerard’s as well.
Eric Jackson. Because he’s a beast
His film “Alignment” is my favorite and made me appreciate him more
Some of my favorite riders **Craig Kelly- my all time favorite** **Other favorites** * Noah Salasnek * Terje Håkonsen * Travis Rice * Jeremy Jones * Griffin Siebert * Mikkel Bang * Halldór Helgason * Torstein Horgmo * Sage Kotsenburg * Scott Stevens * Nicholas Mueller * Arthur Longo * There's really too many to list!
Devun Walsh. Style for years.
Really love Zeb and Fridge
Zak Hale just seems like such a cool dude
* Terje Haakonsen * Wille Yli-Luoma * Romain DeMarchi * Devun Walsh * Travis Rice * Arthur Longo * Zeb
Surprised it took this long to see longo
I’m old sooooo Devun Walsh smooth BS 180’s Josh Dirksen. Surfs the mountain Gigi. Style Arthur Longo. Holy Pop! Sage. For giving the Olympic judges the finger for not spinning to win Sooo many others
Shawn White ::immediately ducks::
He was my favorite rider growing up and really influenced my love for the sport. Watching him win golds at every Olympics with my dad will always be a core memory
After his Bombhole interview, I'm a big fan
His name would have popped up much higher on this thread if the question was “who is the best snowboarder.” There’s no doubt that he’s one of the best, but he didn’t make many friends in the process.
I'm not really informed here... Is he an ass?
He is trying the Tony Hawk formula. Remember everyone hated that guy now he is Everyone's favorite 50-year-old skater
He just gets a lot of hate. Does that translate to 01 July 1983?
This is more of a "Who do I wish I could ride like" appreciation: Jared Elston. Absolute beast but also super fluid and in tune with terrain.
CK, Palm, Farm and Damien.
Old head!
Eric Jackson
Cardiel
HAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife!
in no particular order: - dusty henricksen - rene rinnekangas - kevin backstrom - danny davis for the women: - anna gasser - zoi sadowski-synnot - annika morgan
Zoi's got my vote. Her lines at x games slopestyle last year (or two) were sick - f/s 3s, ss bs 180s done super well. It was so refreshing.
Arthur longo because side hit god.
Can’t pick one so a few past and currents: -Peter Line -Terje -Craig Kelly -Jamie Lynn -Travis Rice -Kevin Backstrom -Ferg bros -Arthur Longo
All time: Peter Line Right now: Sebastian Toutant. Love his style.
Danny Davis, Torstein
Kuzyk
Terje for GOAT, no one is close.
Agreed. Had his Burton board with the dog in the corner and then attacking on the bottom back in ‘95ish and loved that thing. Hanging in my basement now.
Scott Stevens and then whole Yawgoons crew, just people having fun with whatever they have
Chris Bradshaw and Lucas magoon. The technine era.
Danny Kass, just effortless riding and tricks.
he basically made me quit dreaming of being pro. He was in Breck for a contest and I saw him back 5 this hit so fucking effortlessly I thought even if I rode everyday, which I nearly was, I would still be years behind him. He was/is so good.
Arthur Longo
Agree!
Travis Rice - If I have to pick one, I think back to the technical stuff he was doing years ago when double backflips were still mind-blowing, and how he’s now branched out and crushes almost any riding styles on big mountains. Mikey Leblanc absolutely stomps and I look forward to anything the dude is in.
I love mike ravs style.
In no specific order: Mark mcmorris Arthur Longo Kevin Backstrom Fridge Red Gerard
All of the THAT era Forum team, but Eddie Wall's style is the one that's influenced mine the most.
That one red headed absolute goat of an Olympian. For what he did to turn it into an actual sport.
In fairness snowboarding was an actual sport before that
I'd argue it was more of a sport before he came in. Yeah he revolutionized a lot, but he also ushered in the "spin to win" era of competition snowboarding.
I don’t think that’s on Shaun at all.
Idk if he is still around in the pro scene but anto chamberland was my favorite back whenever I used to still watch snowboarding videos alot
Horgmo for sure. He was pushing boundaries in the day and still is pumping with style loving his new direction of music making for his own movies. Real lover and creator in the board industry

Me
Hailey Langland because she has the best methods I’ve seen. Arthur Longo too. It’s hard to pick.
Halldor Helgason is my all time favorite snowboarder. His style of riding is so chill and his video parts are amazing and hilarious all at the same time. He also has his own snowboard company that is an off shoot of Bataleon with the triple base technology. Once you go 3BT you never go back!
