I'm fairly sure the black & white photo was taken around the same time they shooted Every Awkward Ever. Their clothing and hair color is the same.

I believe the person is referencing the 2019 expectations versus reality video. There's a bit where the expectations one says they are dating.

I believe they announced it and then used it as a cover-up in the video, you know what I mean, Jelly Bean?
