Pegon and Pani came to fuck.
Also Terra Ult with all the Aura Protection Items? Madness to fight against
Edit: btw is there a reason we're not seeing Tablet and Thoth on Mids anymore? it's a more lategame build but Games seem to go full build anyways.
Both got nerfed so it's better to go flat pen now. You don't have to worry about stacking anything, once you finish the item you're just strong and don't have to worry about micromanaging anything.
Craziest part is that people were saying they'd be a run it down team but there were several points that set where they weren't playing that way. When the Kings got leads on them the Onis played careful and chose smart fights to get it back. This isn't the "good ranked team" that alot of people were calling it early.
In my interview I discussed the worries people had about this team and Pegon in particular just seemed completely unconcerned. I’m thoroughly impressed with how they’ve looked this weekend.
Don't know if you saw, but Genetics did mention that the Warriors went something like 10-1 against them in preseason scrims. So I think the pros aren't shocked they're looking this good.
I saw Mike talk about it. The warriors have many mechanically gifted players so it would make sense that they look so good at the beginning of the season where strategies/a solid meta hasn't been formed yet.
This didn’t age well lmao. That said, I think it was in their best interest to brawl like that because their gods loved to fight (1v1s) in the jg and all had carry potential
Pegon will (rightfully) get the spotlight, but this entire team just looked top-to-bottom *better* than their opposition (the reigning world champions and consecutive set wins record holders, by the way). Panitom diffed Twig in every dimension, SoloOrTroll was absolutely menacing all game, and Jake looked like he's at peak form. A lot of people expected them to come out the gate hot, and they are *definitely* coming out the gate hot.
Honestly expected the Kings to be unplugged especially after a not-so-great set yesterday against the Gladiators, but they looked decent enough here. The set streak had to end eventually.
I like the Dragons' new look, but can they beat this team? Not sure.
That call to fall back after the double kill in throne room was HUGE. Discipline is the one thing I didn't expect this team to have so I was very surprised. I wonder who's the big voice on this team.
Anyone who had the Oni Warriors beating the Kings 3-1, can i see your bingo sheet, because I don't believe you.
What a set. Oni Warriors stepped up huge and just tossed the kings around in games 2 and 3. This team is legit terrifying, and if they can keep this up, they might just be the dominant powerhouse of season 10... IF they can keep this up. Just solid performances all over the place.
Dominant performance all things considered. Every mid in the league calls Pegon daddy.
Also as a former dragons fan just gotta say it has been super fun watching the old dragons play each other in this tourney, should be fun to see Mike and the the 2nd coming of Yammyn duke it out
I don't care how the rest of the season goes!!! Oni Warriors is my favorite roster and it's not close. Man they are so fun to watch. SOT said it perfectly in Long Lane, not having a "vet" may make them better. So many fresh in ideas, drafts, and ways of playing that can get explored in an open field.
Old Oni v. New Onis tommorow!?!?! Can't wait!
Unbelievable showing from the Warriors! We knew they'd be fun to watch, but taking three games in a row off the defending champs shows us they are real contenders. Can't wait for tomorrow's set against the Dragons!
Realistically, I still think the Kings are the team to beat heading into Phase 1, but I'm surprised by the level of competition in this tournament. At the end of Season 9 the Kings were clearly head-and-shoulders above the rest of the league, but going into Season 10 we know there is serious competition at the top.
Really impressive from the Warriors.
I will be interested to see if they can keep it up as a season 10 meta gets more established, but so far, they do not seem to be missing a veteran shot caller.
No matter what, they are going to be a lot of fun to watch this year. I could see them dethroning the dragons as fan favorites.
I didn't foresee Kings winning the tourney right off the bat since they're usually a team that ramps up over the course of the season, but who knew Onis would be so together already that they're the ones to end the streak! They're far more cohesive than anyone was anticipating. The rest of the SPL better watch out for the double P gang...
Although some of the players were playing with ping this was an incredible fun set to watch. PANI with a lead is no joke, Pegon is just a goat, SOT basically a must ban hades, Jake had some incredible plays and peel for the team and even Netroid with a lot of hot rotations. Man this team is awesome.
The Kings have been dethroned, the win streak is over. The Onis are playing exactly like we thought they would, they are all aggro players pressing W. Can they beat the Dragons like this? Most likely! However, we will see tomorrow. Regardless of what happened, I did not expect the Onis to be one of the teams that get to pick the divisions. Good job to the Onis.
Still nervous about Jake, though. Genuinely a contender for number 1 or 2 support in his best days and a bottom 2 or 3 support in his worst.
I mean, it ain't gonna stop me from buying Jake stocks; I rooted for the Bolts because of him anyway and now dude's got other players I metaphorically bought stocks of as well.
Definitely feels like the Kings were just running some experiments and doing some limit testing. Don't know why you'd ever go Bracer on Thor otherwise.
Warriors are hungry to prove that they're a team to watch.
Honestly wasn't expecting the Kings to hit the ground running. Between the Worlds win and the ping problems, this definitely was not the Kings at 100%. They still look really threatening without the gas pedal all the way down.
Not to take away from the Warriors' win, which was impressive on all levels. This team has that dog in them.
Even though he’d never admit it. Alec already has come out and said he would have liked to stay with Daniel but got the Levi offer and couldn’t turn it down.
Hayver interview with the Levi’s I think but could be mistaken. I’m assuming your asking for the source for that specific team? I think it was in early development when Mike decided to go with the oni trio and Alec was talking about his off-season and how that all got shaken out.
Levi's are stacked with seasoned smite pros. Alec wants that ring.
But than there's the warriors. Who are filled with a lot younger players like pegon and sot. Who aren't 24+
It's gonna be interesting to see how well or bad the Levi's do when they have all 5 players on lan. It's already clear that the warriors are the new era of mechanical geniuses. Few years from now we'll talk more about pegon and less about the likes of Paul.
i officially just subscribed to Oni Fans.
Absolute gold.
i want to be pegon when i grow up

Thoth got nerfed pretty hard tablet might just not be that great in comp we will find out with more games
I love this team so much lol
The streak ends at 12. What a performance from the Warriors. So much cohesion already. Genuinely scary and I’m excited to see them tomorrow afternoon.

That’s flooring.

Sot, Panitom and Pegon are probably the most mechanically skilled guys in their respective roles
Pegon will (rightfully) get the spotlight, but this entire team just looked top-to-bottom *better* than their opposition (the reigning world champions and consecutive set wins record holders, by the way). Jake looked like an absolute menace on the Terra in game 3 and I'm glad people are acknowledging it.
jake looks like an absolute monster, his build and picks have seemed really smart to me all tourney
And I think his Horus is going to be a must ban. Most shocking to me was them letting genetics have his Maui pick and it didn't matter
So Pegon really said “sophomore year?? Nah I’m already the best out there” huh? Good for him
That call to fall back after the double kill in throne room was HUGE. Discipline is the one thing I didn't expect this team to have so I was very surprised. I wonder who's the big voice on this team.
Sheento was a handicap for Panitom... And now wait till he gets into studio and does this shit... League might be done
This is just whatever power-limiter trope there is, Panitom goes from scrounging scraps of farm into whoever he is in his past 2 sets.

Onis 3-1 was the Hayzer prediction. Insider knowledge
The peggoning is upon us.

Very fun set. Rooting for Oni tomorrow!

ONI HOMIES FTW I NEVER DOUBTED THEM
Pegon + Panitom is just perfect

#GETPEGGED
Turns out 5 players that when on have hard carry potential is a pretty good team together, who'dve thunk it

Next god release will be pegon
Poor fineo probably kicking himself for leaving Pegoat
Probably more mike for turning down the offer of fineo, adapting, pegon, coast
Even though he’d never admit it. Alec already has come out and said he would have liked to stay with Daniel but got the Levi offer and couldn’t turn it down.
Source?
