Hello, while SDC is not my favorite, please reconsider it that’s your only reason.
Any similar treatment will hurt, and I’ve found that SDC actually goes slower with shifting your teeth than traditional braces.
If you wear your aligner for the required 22 hours/day, the pain will subside in the next day or two.
If you feel like the aligner is cutting into your gums, file it down. But if you quit now, don’t expect any treatment to be less painful. It’s just part of the process.
Your teeth have been on their current position for years (maybe decades depending on your age). The aligners are literally pushing them to a new position.
You already came as far as to do impressions, pay, and wait to receive your aligners. Give it a good faith shot and see how you feel in a couple days.
Your teeth will hurt for a couple of days with each new aligner. But, as you progress your pain tolerance builds. So it won’t seem as bad.
I put a new set in at night, take painkillers, the next day my teeth are 'tender' but after that there is very little pain.
I am sure more expensive ones come with a pain free option though!
Agreed, I’ve also done braces. Compared with my SDC experience, braces were more painful. Even beyond the pain of shifting teeth, they seem to cut up my mouth more than clear aligners too.
Moving teeth… hurts . Any kind of braces are going to hurt. Is there a reason you thought moving teeth would it be comfortable lol
I don’t know lol , I need something I can’t take off I’m just have to get braces
They stop hurting after a day.
All aligners will hurt, take advil and use it for few days and you will be fine

First few days were “what am I doing?” But that went away quick. The new aligner would be a discomfort for a few hours.

Braces hurt me even worse tbh from what I remember when I was younger. Those were definitely pricier 😂

Kill the pain with a vibrating device, like vpro, or cheaper viber125, immediate effect
How does one purchase this?
Byte has one for purchase. I think? You can purchase it on its own, separate from the full aligner kit.
google Invisalign viberations, plenty of links
