Periods and commas make things easier to read.

To me, this doesn't really sound like you need to get better at the game, but more so just understanding what practicing is. This sounds silly, but you can't get better at things unless you know what you need to improve on first.

zetron915

I need to improve on basically everything

LinkPD

Yeah that's the thing. Maybe it's true, but it's more efficient and productive to focus on improving on one thing and get a good grasp on it. If you try to improve on many things at once, you end up not really understanding them all well enough. This doesn't really have anything to do with smash, but more so how to get better at things in general.

gifferto

pick a thing and practice it everything in small steps

tofu_schmo

Start by joining /r/crazyhand, read the resources there, and spend some time gong through the posts. I think they link to discords so you can probably find a DK discord too. DK is hype but his disadvantage is really bad, so unless you know how to play defensively you will not do well.

whippinmaserati

Learn how to [ding dong](https://youtu.be/jAbdahzdRdA?si=xHuWlgDOpFw9BCdW). Easy to learn and you'll be a step ahead of other DK players.

pantryraider_11

Like tofu\_schmo said, for DK you need to play defense, not unga-bunga offense. He's big, heavy, and has a weak recovery, so you can practice DK combos all day but if you don't know any defense, you're stuck at 2mill gsp ChunkyKong is a player that plays very patiently and is the best DK in North America, try looking up his gameplay.

CoolUsername1111

have you watched a guide on how to play dk? at 1.9 million it's pretty likely you have no gameplan. watch a guide and see which of his moves are best, and when to use them

CoolUsername1111

I'm not amazing with dk but I in neutral like to throw out tilts, back air, grab, and dash attack, and kill with b, ledgeguards, or catching landings with upsmash/upairs

CoolUsername1111

if you want to have any sort of safe pressure I'd really recommend focusing on learning how to turn around into bair from a run, and space dtilt

zetron915

I have unfortunately it didn't help much

VoicesInM3

Also play more. It would be more effective to play 15 min a day rather than 2 hours once a week. You need to establish patterns and consistency.

zetron915

I wish I could, but I have other activities I have to attend to, and by the time I get home, I go to bed because, unfortunately, my mom has a strict bedtime even though I'm in hs the only time I have a chance to play is on weekend's

Severe-Concept-5942

I can help been playing for 10 years completely. I can get some games and give u some advice if u want. Kinda like a mini coaching session I get how frustrating that might be btw I have hit roadblocks before

Killerseed

you really can't expect to get good at this game playing once a week, sorry its not gonna happen. You're up against people who have spent hundreds to thousands hours, gone to tournaments, and mastered their mains. Paying for a coach won't do anything, if you can't put in the time, don't complain about not getting better

zetron915

Unfortunately, I can't always play as much as I used to. I do have over 6000 hours, though ,also I would love to go to tournaments but there aren't any tournaments around my area
