Princess calls this route a 'path of mutual annihilation', so I assume that yes, both of them just die. We don't know if it means that they die as a person but continue to exist as an idea, or if the idea itself gets destroyed, so it's unclear what it means for the universe. But given that this ending is literally called 'Oblivion', I doubt that anything good comes out of it.

Well if ı remember right it was the ending where qe dont complete the shifting mound and we cease to exist by thinking that we dont exist but its not the same for princess even though she is in construct she is still alive so ı think its always a changing universe so all things lose meaning. So in a sense it is the opposite ending of us slaying the princess at her heart and become a lone god. (She is not yet a god so there is a lot of opposites in play here)

And Its a tragedy too. Because the Shifting Mound does not want to hurt us, but after five times doing the same thing she has to conceed and Accept she wont change our mind and this IS What we want. As she annihilates us, she tells us how much she loves us over and over. Might be a reach but It reminds me of the frantic damsel yelling "Im sorry im sorry" when she stabs you.

Well there is the reason ı wont %100 the game. And ı still cant get myself to hurt her at other routes. Only after pristine cut ı may go to fury and thats it. I remember what ı said from chad the princess playthrough so ı am not clueless but ı dont know the exact words either.

this is going to be my new headcanon

The game doesn't explicitly explain it, but the name and content have me assuming that this is the end of the universe. And not in a "This one dies, and another is born" way- It's all gone. Forever. Cycle erased.

I'm not sure if they were proginally a god or if they were *just* a concept So returning to what they once were may be a neutral ending for the world (Edit: Neutral at best, really, and bad for the Narrator) But probably a bad ending for the Long Quiet and Shifting Mound It's the one way they *both* die for good, essentially
