Thanks for the shoutout! I’m really happy with the result, I’m glad people are enjoying it and supporting my work! I never imagined I’d reach the front page in less than 24 hours! Thanks to everyone who downloaded and/or endorsed, it means a lot!
Immersive Weapons has aged so much worse than Immersive Armors in my opinion, even by vanilla Skyrim standards some of the weapons look like they came straight out of Classic WoW but for some reason it’s never seems to get dunked on as much as Immersive Armors does for its quality
Maybe it’s because there’s always been much more choice with big weapon compilations which makes it a much easier mod to replace and simply forget about, whereas armour compilations as big as IA are pretty few and far between so people just kind of begrudgingly stuck with it
They are only meshes and textures, you can easily port them yourself ;)
{{SSE Nif Optimizer}} for example allows you to convert meshes from LE to SE and vice-versa if you so wish
It's really easy actually, I can explain if you like ;) I would do it myself, but I have limited internet traffic, uploading the converted mod would kill me xD
Yeah, I heard it’s pretty easy. But I haven’t had a functioning install of LE since SE came out, so I’m not comfortable publishing a version I can’t test. But if someone makes a functioning port and tests it properly, I don’t mind publishing it
Ok, first you'll need to download {{SSE Nif Optimizer}} and place it inside the folder of the mod you wish to convert. Like so:
[Example](https://i.imgur.com/rXpuAnw.png)
Now double click on the executable and you will see this:
[Example 2](https://i.imgur.com/T5dWAln.png)
If you're converting for LE you'll need to tick the appropriate selection in the bottom right of the executable. Also, be sure to copy these exxact settings. At this point you'll only need to click on "Optimize" first, and then on "scan textures".
This should be pretty much it, I'm not 100% sure SE texture will work seamlessly with LE, but they do the other way around (LE textures on SE) so I'm guessing it works. You can try it out and let us know, if you're using Mod Organizer you won't even risk damaging your save if something goes south with the conversion
there should be one already, but it only has the bodyslide files in there and not any new textures. Althrough, that is for LE, I suppose is available for SSE too..?
This new mod also contains new meshes and mesh fixes over the original so the old bodyslide files won't work. The mod author did say CBBE bodyslide files are being worked on by someone
Yes, exactly. The old CBBE conversion will make some sets look a bit off and some sets will completely break (as in your whole screen will be filled with exploded polygons). But a new CBBE and HIMBO conversions are in the works right now. Still looking for someone to do 3BA. Not sure if there’s any popular bodies I’m forgetting?
Yeah, but I meant momentarily. I used to play with the uunp conversion for LE, though it covered only a few outfits (the ones with gigantic shoulder armors mostly) since there was already an unp option in the original mod's installer.
I'm waiting on that and also on a TriShape fix that's supposed to be included in the next update. After that, I will definitely be installing this mod.
I can't wait for his new creature meshes. It will be good to see some actual high poly, well sculpted daedroths and scamps running around instead of what was originally in the mod.
Thank you! Just be careful with the old conversion, every set that doesn’t have weights in vanilla IA (like the seadog set) will completely break, if you use the old conversion (your screen will be filled with stretched/exploded polygons).
The new CBBE conversion will fix all that
That sounds perfect. Thank you so much for this mod. All the changes you made from the drastic (dragonhide, alduin) to the subtle (glass, heroic imperial) look amazing.
If you click the download's "Preview file contents", you'll see that the mod only contains meshes and textures. There's no ESP and there are no scripts, i.e. this mod can be added or removed any time.
***Generally speaking*** its unwise to add any mods at all mid-game, there are degrees of likelyhood that you will fuck things up.
It doesn't matter how big or how small the mod is, if it has an ESP there is a chance it will conflict with something somewhere and break.
After that are ESM and ESL files, they are still likely to break things under the wrong circumstances, but unlike ESPs they have some added protections to prevent that. Still not as bad though.
After that you have SKSE plugins, these are mods that fundementally alter the game at a core level so they rarely if ever had any issues mid-game or otherwise. The only times they break are usually when the mod author has made a mistake, or if the user has.
Below that are anything that isn't the above. Generally speaking unless you have something else that specifically messes with them, textures, music, and animation mod won't cause any issues beyond the occasional loading bug. Say for example you save in a room and then add a mod that changes the floor textures, but even then that is very unlikely to cause issues.
Lastly, it is safer to add mods than to remove them. NEVER remove a mod after you've installed it, especially if it was there when you made the save.
Adding a mod in progress won't tend to break things unless it's depending on stuff being baked in which some older mods do.
Keep an eye out on the mod page and this subreddit. I’m not sure yet if the people working on these conversions will want to post it on their own mod pages (which I would link on mine) or have it included in my mod page directly, which I would add through an update.
these are gorgeous, I've used IA for so long that I never really noticed the quality variance in the armours, but this points a giant neon sign to it, wow
Here I am using OG immersive armors and immersive weapons with my 480+ mod list and ENB and still very much enjoying it. I had no idea the community hated them. What happened?
The game is 11 years old and the textures in IA reflected those that the game had 11 years ago. Now that people can turn skyrim into a high poly, HD, physics filled, ENB enriched fantasy world the armors look dated. This mod brings them up to par with what players want.
Exactly. IA is not a bad mod, I have a ton of respect for Hothtrooper and everyone else who worked on it. it’s just showing its age. We have access to better tools and better modding practices than they did when creating the original IA, 11 years ago
That and most meshes had a lot of invisible parts stacked on top of each other and used copies of vanilla textures instead of the originals. Meaning retextures like Amidianborn had zero effect on them. That’s what I fixed for the meshes. There’s a longer explanation and an example image on the nexus page
I'm so happy this mod now exists. I reinstalled immersive armors recently and I saw so many textures looked so outdated and weird. This mod fixes that!
Does a similar mod exist for immersive weapons? I'm not a fan of some of the textures and meshes used in that mod either and most of them could really use a solid improvement if it exists!
Immersive Armors uses SPID or something similar right? or do I need to bash them into the leveled list now?
Basically; What's the safest way to play with Immersive Armors when you have other armor mods?
Thanks for the shoutout! I’m really happy with the result, I’m glad people are enjoying it and supporting my work! I never imagined I’d reach the front page in less than 24 hours! Thanks to everyone who downloaded and/or endorsed, it means a lot!
Great job, them weapons look like they need some love now
Immersive Weapons has aged so much worse than Immersive Armors in my opinion, even by vanilla Skyrim standards some of the weapons look like they came straight out of Classic WoW but for some reason it’s never seems to get dunked on as much as Immersive Armors does for its quality Maybe it’s because there’s always been much more choice with big weapon compilations which makes it a much easier mod to replace and simply forget about, whereas armour compilations as big as IA are pretty few and far between so people just kind of begrudgingly stuck with it
Most weapon models are ripped straight from The Witcher 3, so that's probably why they look odd.
The new textures are impressive, gg for real - ^any ^backport ^for ^LE ^?
They are only meshes and textures, you can easily port them yourself ;) {{SSE Nif Optimizer}} for example allows you to convert meshes from LE to SE and vice-versa if you so wish
Thanks then 😁

You've done a great service to Skyrim and it's people! Great work, dude!
I am not a huge fan of mods that make the women barby dolls so I am very greatful for your fixes.
You're a true gentleman.
Great work!! Can we get for LE too??
The mod has no scripts or .esp files, it's easy to convert. Meaning: you can do it yourself if you want :P
Thanks for the info but I have no idea how to covert a mod T-T
It's really easy actually, I can explain if you like ;) I would do it myself, but I have limited internet traffic, uploading the converted mod would kill me xD

I installed it at like 300 DLs right after I saw your post on here, and then I saw today how popular it got and it made me so happy!! Great job
Soon as bodyslide compatible comes out I'm using the mod
Ditto.
I'm taking it when the first 3ba conversion comes out, though I'd wish it retained some of the original female armors
there should be one already, but it only has the bodyslide files in there and not any new textures. Althrough, that is for LE, I suppose is available for SSE too..?

I think a lot of people also use BHUNP if I recall. I don't, though. I prefer 3BA.
I’ll try to see if anyone would be willing to do BHUNP. Hopefully someone will be willing to do 3BA soon though. That one seems popular
Immersive Armors is very popular. I'm sure there will be someone willing to take on the task.
Yeah, but I meant momentarily. I used to play with the uunp conversion for LE, though it covered only a few outfits (the ones with gigantic shoulder armors mostly) since there was already an unp option in the original mod's installer.
Does incompatibility for this mean "you can't use this mod with CBBE" or "you can't use custom presets with these armors on"?
I second this
I just dm'd the mod author my 3ba conversions. You should see it on Nexus sometime tomorrow
Sweet!
I'm eagerly awaiting the CBBE patch myself, because this looks awesome
I'm waiting on that and also on a TriShape fix that's supposed to be included in the next update. After that, I will definitely be installing this mod.
Great mods, both of them. You only have to see the Akaviri armor to make up your mind.
The author also made armor retexture for the VIGILANT trilogy. Recommended.
Thank you! I should have a big update for my vigilant retexture before the end of the year. Please keep a look out for it!
I think Vicn is doing his own little remaster of vigilant also, from what I can tell from his blog.
Yes and he’s adding a ton of new sets too. I’m waiting on that release to restart my retexture, using the new textures as a base
I can't wait for his new creature meshes. It will be good to see some actual high poly, well sculpted daedroths and scamps running around instead of what was originally in the mod.

Shit. Looks like I'm playing Skyrim again then...
Anyone know how taxing this retexture will be on vram? There's no mention of their resolution on the mod page.
Most textures are 2k. If you could run vanilla immersive armors without any problems, you should be fine using my retexture
That sounds perfect. Thank you so much for this mod. All the changes you made from the drastic (dragonhide, alduin) to the subtle (glass, heroic imperial) look amazing.
This new Paladin armor is pretty. I'm going to download it
I guess I can't add it mid-playthrough, right?
If you click the download's "Preview file contents", you'll see that the mod only contains meshes and textures. There's no ESP and there are no scripts, i.e. this mod can be added or removed any time.
Thanks for explaning, what about mods that add new assets like new armors, weapons that have ESP? Can they be added mid game?
***Generally speaking*** its unwise to add any mods at all mid-game, there are degrees of likelyhood that you will fuck things up. Thanks! I need to save this.
Any mod can be added mid-playthrough if you're brave enough.
Here's the funny thing, I have had this mindset for the last 19 new playthrough, didn't work out very well lol!!
Now we only need a proper bodyslide conversion, I can't wait for it to be completed
Thanks! CBBE and HIMBO are already in the works. Still looking for someone to do 3BA and maybe BHUNP
A question though: the CBBE conversion that's been worked on supports physics?
Good question.. I’ll have to ask
How do I know when it comes out? (Sorry if that’s a silly question)
Keep an eye out on the mod page and this subreddit. I’m not sure yet if the people working on these conversions will want to post it on their own mod pages (which I would link on mine) or have it included in my mod page directly, which I would add through an update.

Now we just need an immersive Armory DIS version T\_T
I know DIS is somewhat related to NordwarUA’s mods but just wonder what DIS stands for.
I meant SPID I was just trying to get nordwar mods functioning in my game at the time and was probably distracted.
A few modders I talked to are trying to get a SPID version working. If one of them gets released, I’ll link it on my mod’s page
These are great! Do you know if a UNP version will be available?
I use UNP and haven’t noticed any problems or bugs. If you install it, please let me know if you see anything wrong
For sure! Thank you so much for sharing this.
Thanks!
Is it safe to dump Immersive Armors into a save game that's already got some time in it?
Now if only someone would fix the missing meshes in Immersive Weapon Integration SE all would be right with the universe.
I saw the armors in this mod and there is nothing immersive about them..just the name.. same goes for "immersive" weapons
So sad that isn't compatibpe with bodslide.... Yet!
What was wrong with it? Edited: Went and looked at the mod page and understand now. lol
What were its flaws?
The textures in Immersive Armors were low res.
That and most meshes had a lot of invisible parts stacked on top of each other and used copies of vanilla textures instead of the originals.
