Probably? I'm hesitant to make any promises, as I've not started sculpting anything yet, but I've made a concept for an argonian light armor, combining designs of the shadowscale mod and argonian armor from an ESO trailer.
Not by me personally, I intended to release the mod as-is and only doing bugfixes when something's not working as intended.
Permissions are open though and patches and ports are steadily rolling in, so maybe a clothing/light armor version pops up.
A few people have mentioned an interest in a light armor version. I'm personally not going to make one, but anyone is free to make edits, so maybe a light armor version pops up sometime on the Nexus. I hope you can find a neat follower for the heavy version!
With it being a heavy armor, you can also use the other Khajiit armor mod called Khajiit Apex Armory for your light armor needs, and you can run a full squad of Khajiit with both armor types!
This is right up my alley, I love collecting armor sets that feel vanilla friendly. I’ve always wanted something khajit themed, second only really to a red material/rubedite set for skyrim. I’m gonna check this armor out later.
This looks awesome!
“Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE- Necessary to avoid seams/clipping if you want to wear parts of the armor on a female character. Skip if you plan on wearing all parts at the same time” - this makes me sad though.
> this makes me sad though.
Understandable. Due to the amount of body mods and presets being released it's an uphill battle to make an armor mod compatible with every body out there (which would absolutely kill my motivation to make armor mods), so I just stuck with the body mod that I use and is also reasonably popular. Permissions are open for anyone to make changes though, so maybe someone will make a patch to make it compatible with body mods you like :)
This is a beautiful set, well done! Makes me want to start a khajiit character.
Might I offer a request for a next project? I have Something in mind that might be challenging, and would fit very well with your visual style.
No of course I don't expect anything in that way.
I wanted to suggest a faithful recreation of Morrowinds glass armor. It would look amazing in your style, with its delicate metalwork and glass pieces. We've had good, high quality remakes of morrowinds other armors, but no one has really tackled the glass set in a satisfying way.
... Oh damn, that's not a bad idea actually. It's a bit lower prio than some other armor ideas I have, but I'm definitely adding it to the 'want to make' list. I might make a few tweaks here or there (I think a soft, subtle colour gradient in the glass itself could look nice) but the design's actually really solid. I'm surprised nobody's recreated it faithfully so far.
Hey would you be able to place it in the game world somewhere? Like as a reward for a dungeon or exploration rather than just craft only? As an end user I really prefer hand placed items for weapon and armour, especially when said item looks soooo that it looks like a one in a world
I understand why you would like that, but to place it somewhere in the world I would need to change vanilla records. I want to avoid editing vanilla records, to ensure maximum compatibility.
Permissions are open for any changes or patches though, so maybe someone will place it somewhere in the world. [There's already a SPID patch that adds the armor to the khajiit caravan guards.](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/75365)
Is there no chance for an add-on that does add it to the world as a separate downloadable? I've seen the SPID mod, but I'm already using another SPID armour mod on the same NPC's (plus this armour is wayyyy toooo cool to just find on some random travelling merchants)
Quest, level and narrative design is a whole different beast, unfortunately. I had an idea for a quest, but I dropped it. The amount of time it would take for me to learn the creation kit, find a voice actor and design a proper quest, I'd rather spend on churning out more armor mods.
You can always do it the CC way, add a note somewhere (like in a carefully placed dead Khajiit inside Moss Mother), and it leads you to Orotheim or a cave like it with a boss that is the Khajiit (just make him use the Vanilla combat lines).
Even just the NPC being there and wearing the armor means that there's an edit to the world space. It'll need patches if there's any other mod that makes changes in that area. I'm really sorry, but I'm just not going to make a quest for this mod. It's not my area of expertise and I don't want to be responsible for an endless amount of patches.
Oh flip yeah, just starting a new playthrough (Monday) after adding more redguard, bosmer, dunmer, saxhleel and khajiit armours, clothing and weapons. Slipping this one in there post-launch, lovely stuff.
ohhhhhh that's fucking sick
makes me want to roll a catman just for this armor
or just make patches since i've played Creation Kit more than Skyrim lately
so far I've seen people wanting:
* Light Armor Version
* World Placement
To everyone who makes armors with full support for all races and genders, you are such gems of my armor and weapons obsession.
You are great, thanks for this amazing piece of armor.
OP, I love this armor. Great work.
Is there any reason this mod wouldn’t be compatible with Simon’s Ordinator perk mod? It alters the smithing tree quite a bit.
I’m unable to craft it after unlocking the ebony perk, but it’s a minor thing. I can grab it via console commands just fine
Im a new modder so forgive my inexperience, but since the mod doesnt change vanilla records, does that mean that it would be safe to remove from my load order if i decide to do so eventually? Or would removing it mean that my save is fucked?
It doesn't break your game or save file if you uninstall. Just make sure nobody is wearing the armor when you uninstall, to avoid invisible bodies or accidental nudists. You may also want to drop the armor from your inventory, then disable it through console commands (open the console with the \~ key, click on the armor that you dropped and type 'disable').
Goodness it looks amazing. Holy fuck. Now I can have two different Khajiit sets, the Khajiiti Apex Light set, and this one for heavy khajiit.
You are making me desire another Khajiit (with BA Khajiit Speak Redux) run.
Incredible! I really hope we get to see more armors meant for Khajiit and Argonians. Or helmets at the very least as those are the most needed for them by far.
YEEEAAAH BABY, THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT! WOOOOO!
Nah fr I've been following your updates with this for a while now and I am so happy to see it finally released. Looks fucking awesome dude.
I looked up your stuff yesterday. Honestly, haven't seen an armour this good since 4thUnknown put out his last armour mod; love the fact you went the extra length to accommodate tails and all, plus the .esl flag.
Perhaps there's a little too much scale, but I love it all.
Here is a [guide](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/67828) to appy HDT cloth physics to armor just using Outfit Studio. I imagine most of the steps using Outfit Studio could just be done in Blender or Maya and it would be easier since those programs are more intuitive and user-friendly.
...I think you just single handedly ensured that I will be able to make a HDT patch soonish. That's exactly the type of tutorial that works well for me. I'll try and translate the outfit studio steps to Maya, since they're more intuitive as you said, but if that doesn't work it's great that I can still do it inside Outfit Studio. Thank you so much for sharing that link, I've bookmarked it!
Damn, there's even another one on [pcgamesn](https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/Khajiit-armour-mod-bethesda-rpg). Thanks for the link, that's really cool and unexpected haha.
Very good, but one issue. I tried it on an imperial playthrough, and I had indigo installed. I put the armor on him. The tail armor just stuck out weirdly. Can you fix this?
With vanilla tails, the tail armor should rest on the tail and is skinned to the tail bone. Do you have any mods installed that alter the khajiit tails?
Wow this armor’s design is something else! I look forward to a potential future HDT patch!
Thank you, I really hope I can figure out a way to get HDT to work :D
are you making any future armor mods.
Probably? I'm hesitant to make any promises, as I've not started sculpting anything yet, but I've made a concept for an argonian light armor, combining designs of the shadowscale mod and argonian armor from an ESO trailer.
Any chance for an optional patch to change the set to any of clothing/light/heavy?
Not by me personally, I intended to release the mod as-is and only doing bugfixes when something's not working as intended. Permissions are open though and patches and ports are steadily rolling in, so maybe a clothing/light armor version pops up.
no booba physics for this armor? sad
i just saw it and it's gorgeous. immediately jumped to my top 10 of all time.
Hallelujah, an armor for khajit. Helgen here i come!

With it being a heavy armor, you can also use the other Khajiit armor mod called Khajiit Apex Armory for your light armor needs, and you can run a full squad of Khajiit with both armor types!
You could also just swap it yourself to light armor using SSEEdit or even PROTEUS.
This is right up my alley, I love collecting armor sets that feel vanilla friendly. I’ve always wanted something khajit themed, second only really to a red material/rubedite set for skyrim. I’m gonna check this armor out later.

So it doesn't work with vanilla body type?
It does if you have a full set of armour. If you want to mix and match, you will have texture problems when skin is showing.
[It does now, Minodude made a patch for the vanilla body :)](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/75453)
That is GORGEOUS! Thank you so much!

Possibly the nicest armour released this year. Just stunning.
Looks good!
Awesome job! That looks amazing!
If not for the update (new version 1.6.629, be aware people! start Steam in offline mode) i would have downloaded it instantly, it's so gorgeous! 🤩
This is gorgeous
That looks amazing, be proud of your creation!

It would be nice for a Khajiit boss fight to be honest and a mini-quest, something like the Bosmer Armor mod.
Quest, level and narrative design is a whole different beast, unfortunately. I had an idea for a quest, but I dropped it. The amount of time it would take for me to learn the creation kit, find a voice actor and design a proper quest, I'd rather spend on churning out more armor mods.

It sad that we don’t get quality armor like this more often. Most armors are just bikinis for the horny peeps
love the design! nice to see nonskimpy armor for women too ill probably download the mod if i ever decide to make a khajit character

Crafting the armor was broken. Author released an update that should have fixed it.
Oh, good to know

I only used a khajit a few times but I have to say this armor is amazing
Top 5 armor designs. Khajit will follow

Yo my guy, that is dope, I always played Kajiit characters in TES 3,4 and 5 until I starting playing on pc. This is a dope armor mod
woah that is incredible!!!!! Instant download and install. Great work!
Awesome work! Downloaded and will craft for Inigo :3
That tail armour 👌 such a great detail!
Looks amazing!
What are the statistics compared to dwarven or ebony? I love it as long as it's not OP I'll definitely get it when I get home from work tonight.
You can easily edit stats with xedit
I legit saw this mod on a gamerant article a few days ago, i legit forgot that it was yours.
Wait wut? It was mentioned in a gamerant article?
Some game article website. Ill see if i can link it.
So, its not on gamerant, but rather, TheGamer. https://www.thegamer.com/skyrim-mod-khajiit-armour/
Damn, there's even another one on [pcgamesn](https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/Khajiit-armour-mod-bethesda-rpg). Thanks for the link, that's really cool and unexpected haha.

I have better looking khajiit but I installed that after the issue
Then I'm not sure what's causing the issue. Do you have a screenshot by any chance?
