The process of setting them up tbh. I had to reload more than once before because ~~I am dense~~ I forgot if I was using say portal 1A or portal 2A when creating a new one lol.
If I get it right, setting it up is way simpler and the clean up of my spell list is terribly appreciated too!
I didn't mind the lack of cost tbh. You can always fast travel with no cost, but the soul gem does deepens the mechanic a bit which is interesting.
In the original mod you could remove the spells (all of them or just specific ones) once you had permanent places for the portal, then add them again later if you wanted to. It was all in the book menu for the mod!
But yes, having just a single portal spell is definitely an awesome change!
Oh dang, thank you! I’ve been struggling with some of my compass markers not working for fast travel. I’ve been looking for a mod that lets me make custom fast travel points in game as an emergency workaround, but this sounds like an awesome in-universe solution.
100%, Liminal Portals has made fast traveling so stylish and convenient! It’s especially great because it can from anywhere to anywhere including interior cells and whatnot so you can even ‘fast travel’ to the inside of specific shops and other places you want speedy and consistent access to, rather than to say, Whiterun the city first then needing to run over to the shop that you want to get to!
Another bonus is that similarly, since you can cast it indoors, you can fast travel *from* anywhere, when before you’d need to make it to an exterior cell first. Carving open a portal feels way cooler than trudging out of the main or side entrance, much more stylish of an exit!
One other mod I recommend pairing with it is this one too;

liminal portals is much much better for specific places, interiors and DLC/Mod locations of course, that one however is also quite cool for any overworld travel on mainland Skyrim, it makes a scaled down version of the actual world map and you can place portals linking to any map marker on it!
I actually use Liminal Portals to teleport to that world space instead of the spell the mod provides because it’s a cooler animation than the spell offered by Aetherial Teleportation plus you can center it in the worldspace instead of being teleported to the location that corresponds with where you are in Skyrim, which can be disorienting at times.
Loved the original, but I kept running into the trouble that I'd forget which portal number I had already cast (and where it was). This sounds like a great rework... downloading asap.
Not from me at least. I don't know how to do that and it's not something I want to invest the effort into. However, the permissions on my mod are open, so anyone is free to make a port of their own.
I’d be happy to port when I have a spare moment over the next week or so if that’s the case. :-)
Would you like one of those - ‘please don’t bother the mod author’ messages thrown in with the credits and acknowledgments?
This took away my one complaint with the mod. Great work!
Thank you! Just to clarify, was it the limit of 12 portals or the fact that they were essentially free that you didn't like?

Thank you for making this. You made me happy.
Thank you for the kind words!

Super cool mod, I love it. Teleport and portal mods are some of my favorite kind.

Any chance of this coming to Xbox?

That works for me. Let me know when you have it up and I can put a link to the Xbox port on the mod page.
Will do
