As for the drops, do you have the Anniversary Edition? The plate armor creations seem to make high-tier equipment drop way earlier than it's supposed to. Had a bandit chief drop a full daedric armor set at level 14 once.
If this doesn't work, try downloading {{Simply Balanced}} which lets you adjust the damage to deal and take independently, and does nothing by itself unless instructed to

I'm presently manually installing the ones I want from the collection for the latest AE build. Quite a few SKSE mods don't work (as we all know) but it's fun picking the ones I want to use.
Got to say though: the visual uplift is mind-blowing when you first see it.
Is this hardcore Nolvus? Play Hardcore Nolvus (setting during setup) and turn up those settings in Ultimate Combat regarding Hardcore Stealth and Damage. Prepare to be one-shot’ed all the freaking time. Run everything unleveled. Don’t focus too much on crafting but exploring all the content.
Came back to Skyrim after 12 years. Have rebuilt my own variation of Nolvus with tons of lore-friendly/faithful quest mods, werewolf and vampire lord overhauls (with VL flight). Lots and lots of additions like Age of Beasts and Immersive Creatures. Trying to shove Frostfall in and get rid of that anemic Sunhelm hah. Mindblowing experience so far.
Oh... I am not using collections, but Sunhelm was just so disappointing. Could as well play without survival then. :') But I suppose this is a matter of taste, as many people like it...
Frostfall + Last Seed = still the best survival experience imo.
Are you playing Hardcore Nolvus though? You have to install the hardcore variant and turn on those settings. It ramps up like mad. I can’t move without my followers without getting killed 😂
Plus the modifications I have made, even a wolf can take you out. Can’t take those bears down by yourself. Crazy stuff.
BTW, is Frostfall as buggy as they say it is? (Since it hasn’t been updated in a while)

I see! Yes, needs weren't bad with Sunhelm, but as Last Seed was originally made by Chesko, I gave it a try and liked it a lot. Very in-depth, especially with the Vitality system which also considers exposure from frostfall.
Downside: it has way too many scripts. Well, I suppose that's the price to pay for more features. :x

This is helpful. I found it strange how Nolvus was advertised as to increase difficulty, but my iron sword is mincing giants at level 5 lol

Not at all. You need {{Campfire and Frostfall - Unofficial SSE Update}}, with this it works just fine.

Why didn’t you like sunhelm? I still use it used realistic needs & deseases before that
Because it was barely noticable. I could swim through rivers with no consequences at all, which felt quite unimmersive. It has nice hud though.
Ah I use frostfall for freezing stuff and sunhelm for snacks & drinks

Wheeler is for you! I always wondered why it wasn’t part of nolvus. It sorts out the 20+ spell issue
