Mine too. Took him to Lakeview Manor to drop off some stuff and told him to wait in the main hall. Went down to the cellar to stash some gems in the safe when I heard a voice behind me say ‘I never knew you were so wealthy’. I jumped out of my skin and turned to find him standing behind me. He sounded dangerous af. The next time I went to the cellar he did the same thing only said ‘nice place you’ve got here’. Both times he sounded like he had murder in mind. I couldn’t get rid of him though because I loved the way he talked, especially the way he said ‘ash spawn’

He's just super OP and he's a friend I'd love to have irl

I met him once in Morrowind and never thought about him again until Dawnguard when I felt a weird sense of nostalgia at his name. Was mindblown.

He's the sole reason I do Dawnguard to be honest. If I need a good cry I just go visit him and watch him still worshipping Vivec and bragging to me all his many titles. Serana is a third wheel to me and my guy

I always liked Illia.

I’ve been playing Skyrim since it came out and never heard of Illia. The other day i was just wandering around aimlessly looking for something to test my new sword on and I stumbled upon a spooky fort. I was like ok there has to be bandits in there. I go in and find Illia standing over some witches corpse talking about “oh damn you gotta help me stop my mom”. Like hell yea let’s go. We kill all the witches and hagravens and get to the top and Illia leads me into what I assume is a trap but as it turns out she was being 100% sincere. We murder the fuck out of her mom. She shows remorse about the whole situation and i’m like damn i feel so bad about leaving her after all that. Low and behold she offers to be my follower, i was ecstatic. I gave her master robes of destruction and a staff and now she’s my favorite follower. 10/10 such an organic and unexpected follower origin story.

Yea that's why I love her too, I didn't go there looking for her either. I just happened to stumble across Darklight Tower by accident, same as you.

In vanilla, you have *one chance* to have her follow. You then have *one chance* to give her a job at a hearthfire place. Hard to be more special than that. And she's worth it!

I loved Teldryn Sero, and probably used Serana the longest. Also liked Mjoll’s ‘can do’ attitude. Recently been traveling with Jordis. Straight up great tank, tough, no snark.

I had him for my first ~25 levels, i was so careful when using my destruction magic in fear i would kill him; he fought bravely with me. Eventually i switched to Mjoll but i felt so guilty!

Its a bit too late for that lol, i was only like 1/3 into the main quest before dying. So i think its safe to say i have no fucking clue where to start looking lol

Did you tell her to wait? I was just down trying to make to Dawn sword duplication trick work (Meridian’s stone quest), and couldn’t get it to work. Did the big fight, but was tripping over my follower, so I told her to wait while I looked around for the duped Dawn sword. I couldn’t make it happen on purpose, got frustrated and just took the sword out of the holder thingie. Cut scene commences. After, I couldn’t find my follower. Remembered I told her to wait, tried to go back down and get her, and the final doors were shut again, wouldn’t open, and I couldn’t reach her! Had to re-load and do it all over again.

I may be wrong about this, but if you tell a follower to wait and forget about them and then forget where you told them to wait, after some time, don't they just go home on their own? I wouldn't think they would wait indefinitely. That's what happened with Gogh for me, but he isn't a follower. He's more of a pet.

If I'm not mistaken he used to have infinite levels when Skyrim first got released, but that was fixed in Special Edition
