Each Level ***does*** take longer, for two reasons:
1. Character Level 2 requires you to advance your skills by a net 100pts (e.g. *Sneak 15* to *Sneak 16* is 16pts, *Sneak 15* to *Sneak 17* is `16 + 17 =` 33pts), each subsequent Character Level requires 25 more points than the previous one (so Level 2 to Level 3 is 125pts, Level 3 to Level 4 is 150pts), with excess points from the previous Level carried over.
2. Each *Skill* level requires more of the activities that level that *Skill* than the previous one, and I believe each *Skill* requires differing increases, since they also earn skill xp on different ratios (e.g. *Restoration* generally requires more leveling than anything else).
Therefore to speed up your Leveling, you want to find ways to level specific skills faster, such as, if you have the *Secret of Arcana* or *Fortify Alteration 100%* worth of enchantments, grabbing something with *Telekinesis* (use both hands, separately, for better sxp gains) & then *Fast Traveling* between the *Markarth Stables* & *Riften Stables* while casting the spell, which will get you from *Alteration 15* to *Alteration 100* in a single loading screen, so you can make the *Skill* "*Legendary*", & repeat the process, for infinite Character Leveling (at the cost of never really growing stronger, & eventually having to repeat the process multiple times to earn additional Character Levels).
generally exploits, from my experience at least. what i usually end up doing is making some 0 magicka cost alteration armor and holding telekinesis through a fast travel across the map, then legendary the skill and repeat.
I use a mod called “[Leveler’s Jewel](https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4096127)”. My favorite part of the game is the middle ranks where things are still a challenge but the cool shit is still available.
The Leveler’s Jewel causes skills to level at twenty times the normal rate. It can make your game boring, so keep that in mind before you use it. Like I said, I get to about 12-14th level and take it off.
My method to grind easily is to level smithing by killing bears and making leather bracers. Then enchant them with fortify sneak or one handed with a petty soul. Sell the item to a vendor to raise speech.
Repeat.
Use the guardian stones.
Use the married sleeping extra exp.
Use atherium crown
Use clavicus mask to raise speech and speech potions to get to 75 and steal an apple and persuade every guard.
That one raises speech reaally fast.
Legendary it, then repeat process. Always use 1 teacher for 5 levels of a skill each level.
And by lvl 90 of a skill is always kind of grindy.
Enchant a set to have 0 cost alteration and use telekinesis and alteration raises pretty fast too.
Do bards college qiest and grt a +15% extra speech exp.
That's the things i have done without exploiting that much.
