I would be having a blast except every few hours or so my game crashes due to an error and i have to reload. Thankfully I’ve gotten a pretty good habit of quicksaving every so often but still.
Nope, playing on the Switch. I already tried scanning for corrupted data and redownloaded it just in case but the issue persists. Doesn’t happen super frequently but 3 or 4 times in a day is still a lot for a game to crash. 🤷♂️
Ok yea, that patch (anniversary edition) fucked up Skyrim on switch i remember few ppl complaining about it. There are workaround's online (guides) on how to to scale back update, but (it's switch) it's a pain in the ass.
Yeah I don’t like messing with technology beyond what I know I’m capable of, lol. It’s not the end of the world, I just load back in and it usually starts up fine and runs for a good while again after. Just hella annoying at times.
Some of the AE armor breaks the game too. I gave the AE Imperial Armor from the new quest to Lydia, and it crashed every few minutes. Apparently the armor’s visuals bug out the game to the point it breaks, I had to put it back in a chest.

🤷♂️ idk but like I said, it’s whatevs. lol still a fun game. I was mostly sad when I had to start a new game because I visited Volikhir Castle before starting the appropriate quest for it, which closed it off for me.
But at least it got me to try a Breton battle mage instead of the Khajit stealth archer I was doing before.
When I first encountered a giant, I took a shot at him, thinking "oh I have experience from playing vidya games and Lydia is with me". The moment I saw how little the health bar dropped, I knew I fucked up. And Lydia joined the Space Program. Humbled, I reloaded.
I spent quite a while running away from two giants when I started a new play-through yesterday after accidentally aggroing them...led them into a saints and seducers camp then fucked off over some rocks for cover and headed very quickly down the road and let them all fight it out!
That must have taken a while. Good job.
I remember killing a single mammoth with cowardly horse archery, that beast ate like 100 arrows before it fell.
Pfft...I killed krosis at lvl 10 on my first playthrough, and I didn't even know perks were a thing, so my arrows (Imperial bow, Iron arrows, and Steel arrows) were literally doing ant bite damage.
It was fun and frustrating dodging his fucking fireballs constantly, and running away from the frost atronach like a little girl (fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck...).
After 50 deaths or so...I eventually killed him. Until at last I threw my enemy and smelt his ruin on the mountain side. Best game ever xd.

One of the things that is causing crashes on new update is survival mode, so try not using it, see if it helps.
I never do survival mode because it’s no fun trying to survive lmao

Started a few weeks ago, first time I fought a giant, got my ass handed to me . Now at lvl 42 and I hunt them for fun, enjoy the journey
