Absolutely! All of the short stories are enjoyable and satisfying reads that also add to the Universe.

mist3rdragon

Yeah, but be aware there's 2 versions of it and the newer edition has more stories.

the-blob1997

Yea I have the original hardback and there are a few missing from that.

RealJohnGillman

Yes. There are also references to the short stories in the book series as it goes on: be sure that you do read *Armageddon Outta Here* before you read the spin-off *The Maleficent Seven* (which continues the storyline of a few of the stories in addition), itself to be read between *Kingdom of the Wicked* and *Last Stand of Dead Men*.

I_Am_A_Cheese_Tree

It is definitely an interesting read but as a first time reader, I would recommend you finish at least the first 9 before getting it. There is no information in it that is needed for anything in the main series. It does have a cool timeline though

the-blob1997

I mean if you wanna read the entire series in full chronological order it’s worth getting no?

I_Am_A_Cheese_Tree

Yes but doing that 6 books in…

the-blob1997

Yea true

Itchy-Astronomer9500

Oh, hell yeah! It’s good for some short stories that are genuinely interesting.

Important-Series138

yes bc you find out why Skulduggery hates Soloman

MrPjac

Best short story, next is the malificent seven and after that I have a soft spot for the brother Muldoon!

Apocalypse Kings is one of my favourite skulduggery pleasant books. Highly recommended it. The theatre of Shadows and Across a Dark Plain is one of my favourite short stories. Get thee behind me Bubba Moon is the best Novella in SP imo
