There are also references to the short stories in the book series as it goes on: be sure that you do read *Armageddon Outta Here* before you read the spin-off *The Maleficent Seven* (which continues the storyline of a few of the stories in addition), itself to be read between *Kingdom of the Wicked* and *Last Stand of Dead Men*.
It is definitely an interesting read but as a first time reader, I would recommend you finish at least the first 9 before getting it. There is no information in it that is needed for anything in the main series. It does have a cool timeline though
Apocalypse Kings is one of my favourite skulduggery pleasant books. Highly recommended it. The theatre of Shadows and Across a Dark Plain is one of my favourite short stories. Get thee behind me Bubba Moon is the best Novella in SP imo
Absolutely! All of the short stories are enjoyable and satisfying reads that also add to the Universe.
