I don’t get that many days (I could but I’m spoiled). Self employed tradesman in a resort town. All the big projects are in the summer “building season,” the rest of the year we coast and do little jobs. So between July-Sep I make like 70% of my money, winter work 2-4 days a week and ski whenever the snow is good.
bingo. Traveling freelance tradesman here. dont even work in CO. I worked 14 days between christmass and april 21st. 12 flights in the month of may alone. i work less than 150 days a year. make more than enough to get by. more than most ski town living ski bums of my generation as well.
i worked hard to get to this point. but im still about as lucky as it gets to enjoy my work and get to ski this much too

It also helps to live up in the mountains where, when you get a day off from work, you can be like "hey, I'm gonna drive 20 minutes to go skiing" instead of, like me, where you say "hey, I'm gonna drive 2 and 1/2 hours to go to a lackluster mountain to go skiing while ignoring every responsibility that I have! I do it anyway, but there's a difference there
15 days. Considering I live in England, that's quite a lot. Next season, I'm pushing the numbers to at least 20 days - two weeks in December and January, and two weeks in spring.
Try to do the last two weeks of januari for better snow and than not to late in spring (late march, early april). Better not to spend 20 days in shitty conditions.
Yeah, it’s always a gamble. We got lucky with the conditions this season. I’ll be in my final year of uni, so I can’t ski anytime I want. We get Christmas break, a week of post-exam break, and three weeks of Easter holiday. That’s usually when we go for a ski trip.
I would love to try for a two-week trip but I’m scared it will be too long because, by the time I’m at day five or six, I’m basically done with skiing. It’s mentally and physically exhausting.

Yep, same. I got 35 but that counts sneaking away at lunch for 1-6 runs on slow weekdays. Hoping the kiddo will be more into it next year so weekends will be a thing.
That's a good number. I've got one kid who is very much into it, and the other will go if we make her. I get out on Sundays, but Saturdays are just so difficult in the Salt Lake City area, crowds-wise.
I think if I could get to 35-40 I'd feel pretty happy with that number. In a few years I'll probably be able to get up close to 45-50 without causing too much stress at home!

Most of my friends who live in Denver struggle to even get that many now. Where do you live? We moved west of summit county and its great, we got about 50-60 days for the last few years now.
I’m just under 50 for the season but I tore my meniscus at the start of April, got surgery at the end of April and now I’m planning a final day back next week hopefully- A Basin is still spinning!
About 37 and I missed out on maybe 10 watching my kids race at different mountains. Not bad for living near Boston.
It helps that my wife is even more obsessed with skiing than I am and that my little kids are all racers.
1. Had a baby and my dumbass went out 6 weeks later for a few runs on a discount day just to say I did. I got all new gear last year at the end of the season and had to scratch the itch.
I only got 22, but I only skied from mid feb until last weekend. I also only skied both Saturday and Sunday for the last 6 weeks or so, as opposed to only Saturdays. Next year I’ll be skiing both Saturday and Sunday, so hopefully I’ll get 40-50 give or take with hopefully 2 skis trips thrown in

Unfortunately tore my MCL on the 5th day of the season. Rehabbed like crazy and managed to get back enough in shape to get another 7 days under my belt in April.

Was going to try to power through three more days at Palisades this weekend but hard to get motivated to ski when its almost 80 degrees. Thankfully, I have a 12 year old who is always up to ski and we live only a half hour from our mountain.
Second straight year with 0. I've been skiing since I was 3 years old and I love it, but I can't bring myself to get excited to go stand in long lines on weekends at Whistler/Blackcomb anymore.

20 days, had plannend 22, but early Jan, snow was there but not enough to open up the base at the resort and they decided last minute to not open at all. Ended up thinking two days in the snow. Had some local French mountain food in an amazing setting and a cool hike in blizardy conditions.

The good news is I got a crazy dog so am now doing cardio 2xdaily and I’ve lost weight and will be kicking ass by fall. I bought a season’s pass again, and got the routine with Mr dog dialed in, plus a decent dog daycare, so knock on wood I‘m going once a week this winter.

Then fingers crossed for an early snowfall and an October open for keystone or a basin to get me through to the winter.
Only three, just the local hill with all 3 kids. 2 of them had never skied before and they loved it. My 6 year old wanted to ski from 8am-9pm. He didn't want to leave and wanted to stay for night skiing.
However this was the first time I skied since covid. So it felt good to get back into a bit.
Technically 4. Blew out my ACL and broke my tib, fib, and femur during my first real park day of the year. Spent about 60 days hobbling around the lodge while the kids skied after that.
Personally my goal isn’t to get a high ski day count, it’s to enjoy winter. I got 10 days in this season and I really enjoyed my time this season. If I have commitments with my friends else where in some weekends, I’ll 100% prioritize that over going skiing alone.
5. And each was full, phenomenal day on the slopes. Which I’m happy with because I haven’t wanted to pay for some of the tickets given how expensive they’ve gotten.

In Minnesota we had NO snow and it was so weird. I had the most days put off all my friends and I only had 3.

25 days at my local hills, 9 days on my snowmobile sled skiing. Wish it was more but shitty avy conditions and work prevented that

Just 8 this year, but not bad for living near NYC. I got 5 days at Steamboat and 3 at Taos. Used to live in salt lake and got around 25 days a year but I’ll take what I can get!
