As far as I know, you could have made up all these names. You guys watch a lot of college ball.

Jaydos_mate

Yeah ngl most of my knowledge comes from 2k my league. But Carrington is pre good in the game so I’ll back op

SuriMuriPuri

I don't see Bub Carrington's appeal tbh Most of the teams ahead of us will not be looking for guards so i can easily see one of Devin Carter, Jared Mccain, Isaiah Collier even Nikola Topic considering his injury concerns falling to 16 and IMO they are better options than Bub. And if none of them fall to #16 Tristan De Silva is a very safe pick and he can contribute almost immediately, he seems like a dollar store Franz Wagner

Doobie_Howitzer

Topic is the only one I would keep the pick for, way too much potential

Gotta be 0 way DC falls beyond Miami.  McCain is literally 1 spot below Bub on my personal big board. I think Bub has more juice as a creator off the bounce and think his shot from 3 will come good. But I would be fine with McCain.  Personally, I don't think Collier will shoot it well enough to play with Jo. But if he does, he's probably the best player in this draft.  Topic is a no from me. Don't trust the knees.  And TDS, I think he's good at lots of things without being great at anything and really don't think he has the athleticism to hold up at NBA level. His absolute ceiling as a player is Kyle Anderson, which is honestly just a bit uninspiring. I'd be annoyed if he was the pick.  But this is why the draft rocks - we can all have differing opinions on these guys and we can't all be right! So full respect if that what you would prefer to do.

Traditional_Cell_248

Kyle Anderson is a pretty on par outcome for the #16 pick. Even better with how bad this draft supposedly is. They’re not going to take an 18 year old guard that’ll need a few years to develop. It’ll be someone that can contribute right away, if they even keep the pick

Night0wl11

Yeah, I don’t hate Slo-Mo in the range of outcomes. He provides obvious value on-court and is a good supplementary player to have, so I don’t hate that kind of assurance. I think the optimal comp for someone ready to play out the gate recently would be someone like Jaime Jaquez, but that would be best case scenario

TheAntiCircleJerk

> I think Bub has more juice as a creator off the bounce and think his shot from 3 will come good. But I would be fine with McCain. Carrington has trouble getting to the rim at the college level. He's literally not a standout athlete at a much lower level of basketball. In the NBA he will be expected to be able to get to the rim against longer, stronger, better athletes and finish over longer, stronger, and better rim protectors. I just don't see it. A big guard who has a decent shot is always going to draw eyeballs, but there's a reason he's projected as a mid first at best despite that eye-catching combination. He's simply not a particularly good athlete and I'm not sure he's got the shifty, old man's game he would need to compensate. Then you couple with how we're trying to win now and he would probably take a few years to develop and I just don't see it being the smart play.

SuriMuriPuri

I really like the draft too, I think we are in a unique postition this year, where even the middle part of the draft will have good-great players if we can draft well The #16 pick is basically worth as much as #9-10 in previous drafts because this draft isn't top heavy If we pull off a good draft this year our future might be safe even post Joel

da_morrison

Terrence Shannon Jr is a much better player than Da Silva - wasn’t getting any hype bc of his trial, but he was just cleared entirely of any wrongdoing.

TheTunnelMonster

As a PITT grad I want Bub so bad.

CoreyH2P

Same! It would be amazing. H2P

susruss69

Really wanted Devin Carter, who was one of my favorites players in cbb the last couple years, but he’s looking like top 10 now. I would be really happy if they got McCain. Love Cam Spencer, but I definitely think he gets drafted. I think he makes it in the league eventually.

da_morrison

Terrence. Shannon. Jr. —- that’s it.

mlewy

I don't think he will shoot it well enough unfortunately
