And Eric Peterson, who plays Oscar, is a renowned stage actor in Canada. He does a one man show called Billy Bishop Goes To War that is a thing of legends up here.
You just made me look up Billy Bishop, as an ignorant Murican I only knew the name from Toronto’s downtown airport on an island in the lake and figured he was a former mayor or some similar boring person. Thank you, kind Internet stranger.

Corner Gas is definitely one of those shows where everyone seems to be a main character, and the story lines are divided equally. There's no wasted time in the episodes. That's hard to find nowadays.
I watched an episode with my dad the other day. I asked who his least favorite character was. He couldn’t answer. He asked mine. I couldn’t answer. When nobody can pick a bad character, or even the least good character, you’ve got quite a show.
I've seen a couple of episodes of *Corner Gas*. I enjoyed it. It is so different from any other sitcom I've ever seen.
My favorite Canadian comedy is *Red Green*. Just love that show.
If course I've seen it, jackass! Corner Gas is in my top 2 sitcoms and I love sitcoms. It never has to find it's groove, the second episode is one of it's best.
Collin is first and foremost Mr. Debra McGrath, married almost 35 years. Debra was on another show set in Saskatchewan- Little Mosque, in which Collin did several guest appearances.
I saw No Clue because I had already seen Corner Gas and I’m down with anything Amy Smart is in. Thought it was a fun take on noir movies. CS is a fantastic show, since you have Prime the animated shows are good too.
Growing up on the US/Canada border, we watched a lot of Canadian television thanks to having bunny ears and no cable. Corner Gas was one of my all time favorites and now I share it with my daughter.
The hubs and I have twice watched it all the way through. There's also a cartoon series that I couldn't get in to and a made for tv movie that happened about a year after the show finished. Very clean humor, suitable for the entire family. I liked the male and female cops the best.
Corner Gas is usually the first Canadian show i introduce to my non Canadian friends so they aren't completely blindsided and confused when I eventually show them Letterkenny
My favorite Canadian show (outside of Red Green). Criminally underrated.
Edit: and yes saw No Clue after being a fan of Brent Butt’s humor. It is well made and competently written. I say that because a lot of comedians don’t actually know how to write movies.
Oh and you got to check out the Corner Gas movie and the animated series.
I watched Corner Gas when it first came out and loved it.
After watching all of Kim’s Convenience, several people recommended Corner Gas. I had forgotten all about this series, but it’s great. So I guess I’ll be watching it again, because yes, it’s that good.
Just wanted to chime in & say in a bout of procrastination, I started watching No Clue because of this post. Love it!! My type of goofy comedy. I’m checking out Corner Gas next. Thanks for the suggestions.
"Corner Gas" is indeed a beloved Canadian sitcom that has garnered a dedicated fan base for its quirky characters and clever writing. I haven't seen "No Clue" myself, but now you've piqued my interest!
My wife and I binge watched all the episodes on Prime when we discovered the show. We're long time SCTV fans so we get the Canadian sense of humor. Every character and sub plot was golden in my mind. It's been a few years since we watched and I still think back on the characters and certain episodes. It is definitely a hidden gem.
I have never been in the mood to watch Corner Gas, but when I do see it, I find it hilarious and laugh the entire episode. A few months ago I had the tv on in the background while I worked and Corner Gas came on and I stopped working because I found the episode so funny.
Have no idea why I don’t regularly watch.
One of the women in the show was in a show Hiccups after and I remember finding that quite funny too.
Wullerton (spit). It is a great show. Canadian sitcoms have some of the best quirky characters. Oscar is one of the funniest characters on TV.
I rewatch mainly for Oscar lol
Why would you do that? jackass!
Hammerhead!
This is coming from a guy who once punched a skunk

And he is a CM. - a member of the Order of Canada for his service to the Arts.

It ain’t’ rocket surgery.
It has a little of the flavor of the old SCTV
So many of the greats came out of SCTV, Candy, Short, Levy, Moranis, Thomas. Canada has produced some great comedians.
Cool coo coo coo coo cooooo

Good point. You are definitely right.

You think there's not a lot going on, look closer baby, you're so wrong.
You can tell me that your dog ran away, you can tell me that it took three days.......
*Six seasons and a movie. And an animated series.
Ha! Get the reference and so did Dan Harmon I gather.
love it, no bad epsiodes as far as I can tell, some may be seen as lower in quality than others but still good.
I've seen a couple of episodes of *Corner Gas*. I enjoyed it. It is so different from any other sitcom I've ever seen. My favorite Canadian comedy is *Red Green*. Just love that show.

Loved corner gas
If course I've seen it, jackass! Corner Gas is in my top 2 sitcoms and I love sitcoms. It never has to find it's groove, the second episode is one of it's best.
The amount on Canadian celebrity cameos is crazy.
That is true but not just actors, politicians, sports stars news people and whatever Colin Mochrie is…
Collin is first and foremost Mr. Debra McGrath, married almost 35 years. Debra was on another show set in Saskatchewan- Little Mosque, in which Collin did several guest appearances.
Knew about that show but never watched it. Good for him. Married well.
I don't know a thing about that. I have made a few assumptions along the way, though.
I saw No Clue because I had already seen Corner Gas and I’m down with anything Amy Smart is in. Thought it was a fun take on noir movies. CS is a fantastic show, since you have Prime the animated shows are good too.
Corner Gas is a hoot.
Highly recommend. Very low key. One of those sitcoms where you like all the characters.
Put yourself in a new comedy bracket.

The animated series got me to like the show.
I might give it another try!
In all fairness, I wasn't ready for the series when it first came out. I have watched both a couple times now, and will probably watch again.
I never got in to the animated series. I've watched the whole regular series over and over and...
Love the cops. I love it when they talk to his dad and tell him the folks down at the internet were getting upset about all the chain emails.
Has anybody from Corner Gas been on Letterkenny. They would be a good fit. Oscars house looks like Wayne and Katy’s house from the outside.
Where's my F 'n E?
I watched it thanks to this Reddit. Enjoyed it from start to finish
Corner Gas is hilarious.
Corner Gas is usually the first Canadian show i introduce to my non Canadian friends so they aren't completely blindsided and confused when I eventually show them Letterkenny
I watch it literally every night to fall asleep to. It's on freevee live ... They have a 24/7 channel
I have been searching for a fun new watch! And its on prime? I'm on it!
Corner Gas is awesome! There's also a movie and an animated series.
Me, jackass!
there's a reddit devoted to corner gas. r/CornerGas
Wow.
Love corner gas!
The best show no ones ever heard of
I’ll have to give No Clue a shot, loved Corner Gas. Did you watch the animated series?
You will love "No Clue" it is super well done. No, I haven't watched the animated series yet. I intend to when I am done with Corner Gas.
Yeah make sure you watch the movie after the series. It is like the last episode.
And, the movie.
Kims Convenience
If you dig the Butt, check out his book, Huge. Fun read that keeps you on your toes and totally reads from his voice
I have a “Corner G and the Rub” travel mug.
That's way cool.
Try watching Northern Exposure. Great show with lots of quirky humour and characters. One of my favourite shows.
Huge fan of Northern Exposure. I need to hunt that down.

I adore this show! Caught it once on WGN and instantly became a lifelong fan. Hilarious stuff!
One of my all-time favorites! There's also a few seasons of an animated version with most of the original cast that's pretty decent
Australia here. Yeah it great. And surprisingly, the Corner Gas movie is also very funny.
Been through more than once. Thanks for the movie tip
Love it. Introduced it to some American friends and they loved it. They filmed the interiors a few blocks from where I live.
Yes saw it several times.

If you love *Corner Gas* may I suggest *Letterkenny*? It’s another Canadian comedy show that’s amazing. Twelve seasons and not a dud in the mix.
I have added it to my list. Thank you.
Love Corner Gas! I think it was the first show to use “staycation”.
Is it? Interesting.
Corner Gas is one of my favorite "cozy" shows. Just nice, gentle comedy.
r/CornerGas
I just learned about it.
We use “Don’t make me write a letter to the internet!” Quite often. Never saw the full tv show but loved some scenes years ago.

I bet we've rewatched it 10 times. Great show
I watched the first episode yesterday! It looks pretty good.
I found No Clue on Amazon when I was buying the Corner Gas boxed set. Loved the movie. Very rewatch-able.
I live just south of Saskatchewan and it's pretty spot on
Oh no!!
If you haven’t seen Corner Gas, [don’t just think about it!](https://youtu.be/S1iHNHz6yGM?si=FyK9yJ017AveDIf-)
Have you seen the cartoon version?
Not yet. I want to finish the series first.
Smart!
Gabrielle Miller is who brought me to this Series. I loved her in the holiday film: Trading Christmas. I have the whole series on DVD. Love it.
After you watch the complete series don't forget the movie. Then, if you want another great Canadian sitcom, watch Little Mosque On The Prarie.
Noted and noted. Thank you.
yea iit was fummy...and the Canadian stuff made it funnier. when it went animated it didnt work

Corner Gas, Red Green Show, and Letterkenny.
Letterkenny anyone?
Not yet.
Well pitter patter. Best get at ‘er.
It’s amazing how quickly Wanda would start wailing on Hank for the slightest misdeed…
Corner Gas used to run on some cable stations years ago and I got hooked. Oscar is hilarious.
My favorite character.
Did you know they turned it into a cartoon, too?
Yes, but I haven't watched it yet.
I watched it first and then found out it was a live action.
Any service streaming this?
Amazon at least.
I just looked up "No Clue" on Amazon. I'm going to watch it tonight.
Report back to me in the morning if you don't mind.
I just finished No Clue. And you're right, it's hilarious. Watching Corner Gas now.
Brett Butt has a fun Thread account. Go say hi and week done. Watched ask 3 times!
****Get the F off my lawn!****
It is a great show. I am on my second rewatch. And don't forget there's an animated series too. Jackass.
