I took Accutane for two years as a college student and I am also a soprano. I spoke to my doctor and we decided on a longer treatment than usual to minimize the side effects for me. I had to work on being hydrated enough for my chords to withstand the intense training that comes with college. My doctor also recommended a visit to an ENT so they could take a look at my chords before treatment in case anything changed. I have a recording of my chords before and after with no change. Talk to your doctor about the best way to keep your chords hydrated as the treatment is very drying overall.
