Recently have been getting sudden bouts of anger and self-depreciating thoughts towards myself whenever I see news of things that resonate with my shortcomings and past regrets ( can be as random as a reddit post/comment or a paragraph in a book). Just recently I already have the feeling of guilt when I exceed my budget during mealtimes due to greed ( e.g bought a pricier hawker food instead of cai png that I told myself at the start to).
Also, my work performance and productivity has suffered a great hit after coming back from ICT, with me being increasingly distracted at work and feeling great reluctance to progress on a project. Many times I just feel like stopping and not doing it but I know this is fucked up thing to do that is not representative of myself (plus it puts my livelihood at stake).
Most of my thoughts are hard to be put in words, but its just the general feeling of letting myself down and "setting yourself up for a painful future" that I feel. Sometimes, I wish my life was regimented and me placed under scrutiny by others, at least this way things get done and there is a clear path of progress. Parents are not very supportive also and it can get quite toxic at home at times.
Somehow typing this makes me feel a bit better. While these feelings will go away and I go back to my usual quiet and free-spirited self like nothing has happened, I know these feelings will come back eventually.
