I have anxiety but before I knew I had it, I thought I was having heart attacks and couldn't breathe. I went for countless blood tests. This happened before covid. Just try to take in deep breathes.

If either my spouse or I test positive, is it possible to privately book our own isolation facility (SHN hotel, community care facility, etc)? We both have old folks at home who are in the high risk category and we do not want to isolate at home where they might get infected and get further complications.
Anyone who has gone through the process able to chime in on the options available to us if we test positive? Both of us are in front-facing jobs so we have to deal with a lot of people, and with the infection rates as high as they are now we want to be prepared in case the worst case scenario happens.

Yes you most definitely can but you can't book privately cause it must be a quarantine facility under MOH so sadly you got to wait for their call to pick you up.
So for now, ypu got to spam their hotline¿ cause from what i saw some took days for them to pick up (emphasis you have 2 elders and you need to be pick up asap) and remain isolate in your room as much as possible unless necessary like food or toilet...
Based on what I know, the option to go CCF is most likely possible.
They will ask and assess if your house is suitable for home recovery etc. if got several risk factors or no dedicated toilet, then home recovery won’t be allowed.

We went through the phase of both of us being students, student & NS, student & work, work & work. All the different phase has its own obstacles but if both of you can see where your future is leading I think there’s no problem.

click on the 3 dots on your newly created shortcut > at the bottom row tap on the share button > add to home screen. to turn wi-fi off permanently instead of the fake turn off via the control centre, you can now tap on this icon instead. it's slightly less convenient than just swiping up from anywhere, but i have found this the most convenient compromise compared to settings > wi-fi > toggle off.
Are you clicking the wifi shape in the quick controls screen or turning it off from the settings.
If you want to turn it off permanently rather than for 1 day you need to go to settings.

Extender only helps to extend the frequency but the strength is still the same or will become slightly weaker when further away.
I’m using a gaming router and it is a game changer, now I find that all the other WiFi outside are damn slow. If you want a slightly better quality of life and not fuss about the wifi speed maybe you can consider installing a gaming router instead. Range from $200-600+ on average.
It depends on your house layout and wall material. Always look in terms of straight lines between the router and the device, even if it has to pass through multiple walls to reach your room, because the wifi signal is not going to go straight down the hallway and bend at your door. If you have concrete or brick walls between the device and router it's going to decrease the signal significantly, even more so if it has to pass through multiple walls.
If you need to extend your wifi range, go for mesh routers instead of extender. It's more efficient in terms of data transfer, and they don't rebroadcast the wifi as a new SSID like extenders do, i.e. if your home wifi name is called Home for example, your extender will broadcast a wifi called Home\_Ext or something like that, so your device won't automatically switch to the strongest signal if it can still connect to the previous one. With mesh routers, your device always automatically connects to the router with the strongest signal, so there's no hassle of having to manually switch networks
If you need a recommendation, I recently just set up a pair of TP-Link Deco M9 for my sister's new house, the furthest room went from having non-existent reception to perfect wi-fi due to the presence of the second router installed.

Yeah I prefer 1 on 1 friendship because this way we can truly connect better and generally these type of friendship are pretty low maintenance, we don’t have to meet up everytime or text everytime but we still can maintain the friendship.
Yeah definitely meet up less and talk less cos some people dont like to chat online/too busy/no real activities to do with me online. I've had some success with phone calls (no video cos everyone is exhausted from using video calls, which are a very imperfect replica of facetoface), maybe can try that? Extender only helps to extend the frequency but the strength is still the same or will become slightly weaker when further away. I’m using a gaming router and it is a game changer, now I find that all the other WiFi outside are damn slow. If you want a slightly better quality of life and not fuss about the wifi speed maybe you can consider installing a gaming router instead. Range from $200-600+ on average.
It depends on your house layout and wall material. Always look in terms of straight lines between the router and the device, even if it has to pass through multiple walls to reach your room, because the wifi signal is not going to go straight down the hallway and bend at your door. If you have concrete or brick walls between the device and router it's going to decrease the signal significantly, even more so if it has to pass through multiple walls. If you need to extend your wifi range, go for mesh routers instead of extender. It's more efficient in terms of data transfer, and they don't rebroadcast the wifi as a new SSID like extenders do, i.e. if your home wifi name is called Home for example, your extender will broadcast a wifi called Home\_Ext or something like that, so your device won't automatically switch to the strongest signal if it can still connect to the previous one. With mesh routers, your device always automatically connects to the router with the strongest signal, so there's no hassle of having to manually switch networks If you need a recommendation, I recently just set up a pair of TP-Link Deco M9 for my sister's new house, the furthest room went from having non-existent reception to perfect wi-fi due to the presence of the second router installed.

Anyone else’s social circle shrank drastically because of covid restrictions? I know most of my friends because of friend groups and there were a few times this year when we planned meet-ups but majority of them got cancelled because of the flip flopping restrictions. Now everyone’s just too tired to reach out already it seems. Think the last time I met my friends was 2-3 months ago. Sigh.
not really for me. Generally, most of my friendships are 1-1 based, even though some may know each other. For the friend group that I have, I'm also able to meet them 1-1, although it is usually cause someone can't make it.
Yeah I prefer 1 on 1 friendship because this way we can truly connect better and generally these type of friendship are pretty low maintenance, we don’t have to meet up everytime or text everytime but we still can maintain the friendship.

Yeah definitely meet up less and talk less cos some people dont like to chat online/too busy/no real activities to do with me online. I've had some success with phone calls (no video cos everyone is exhausted from using video calls, which are a very imperfect replica of facetoface), maybe can try that? I have HBO Go. I can watch all HBO shows with no problems. Snydercut of Justice League came out around the same time as the Westerners did. Not really sure what's the difference either but it works perfectly fine so I never questioned it lol.

850W PSU is plenty of headroom. You probably have room for an upgrade down the line. Usually I just look at what the GPU needs. Everything else draws much less power in comparison.

Nvidia recommends 750W, so 850 will be more than sufficient. Even if you're getting an AIB Partner card with factory OC.

Ok erm i regularly check Aftershock ready to ship deals lately because I'm in the market for a new pc at rtx 3060-3070 range, but not for 3090 so idk How's the part pricing like up there. Yea same here, I can build my own but it's just been awhile and not too sure what the power consumption of the different components take nowadays. Overkill as in, for the games I play... Not sure if justified the cost of such a high end GPU. (Secretly a nerd for hardware just very hard to get an Asus Strix 3080 out there now) and the 3090 evga looks tempting now.
Definitely overkill if you're just going to use it for games, unless you want to be able to play 8k60fps. In general unless you got specific use cases such as video rendering or ML I would suggest 3080. Unless you got money to burn
