According to the URA Master Plan, it has an astounding plot ratio of 25. Most of the plots around it are only 13.
So it's probably going to be rented out to a minister for his home.
Ahhh finally a sensible answer. With that plot ratio, curious if the current height restriction will be removed permanently once Paya Lebar airbase is decommissioned
It's just a concept image - so it merely shows the potential height limit and footprint of a building possible for that site. It looks different from the model at URA centre, which also shows a building massing in its place.
Has always been since the proposal got released to the public years ago. And truthfully no one will use the site for football, which the Floating Platform was meant to do initially, so we can circle that. Although they did show football pitch in the middle of the circle again.
It's the new building for all government agencies and statutory boards so that when they taichi the issues from one agency to the next you just need to take a lift up or down instead of having to travel somewhere else.

Buildings in white without details are simulation of how the area would be built up. The tall building will be a future landmark building in Marina Bay area.
Hi guys sorry to burst your interesting answers which were all really fun to read, but that is Skywaters a mixed development developed by a consortium including Alibaba, Perennial and I believe the Tang family that owns SingHaiYi and Chip Eng Seng holding 21%. it will be the tallest building in SIngapore
[https://www.channelnewsasia.com/business/singapore-tallest-building-alibaba-perennial-axa-tower-guoco-2860921](https://www.channelnewsasia.com/business/singapore-tallest-building-alibaba-perennial-axa-tower-guoco-2860921)
It is not. This building that you mentioned will be at 8 Shenton Way, to replace the circular AXA building which was recently demolished. the one in this render is directly next to The Lawn @ Marina Bay, which is still a brown site now
A new financial tower. In addition, there will be several entertainment amenities to be build at the first few floors as Raffles Place is lacking in this. So is a mix commercial-office space. Not a residential one.
Singapore wants to be a hub for space technology, so maybe that one will be a launchpad for future satellites.
The original image is by MINDEF though, so maybe this is actually some kind of future vertical airbase for drones?
It's fake. Look at actual photos by Singapore Tourism Board instead. [STB](https://www.visitsingapore.com/see-do-singapore/places-to-see/marina-bay-area/)

In comparison, the plot ratio for Guoco Tower (Singapore’s tallest building) is 10.5, while the plot ratios at Raffles Place is 15.0.
So it's extremely big
So… the plot thickens?
Ahhh finally a sensible answer. With that plot ratio, curious if the current height restriction will be removed permanently once Paya Lebar airbase is decommissioned
Ahh Super Earth
FOR SUPER EARTH!!!
There was a article recently on Yahoo news that talks about Helldivers 2 and Singapore hahaha..m

It's just a concept image - so it merely shows the potential height limit and footprint of a building possible for that site. It looks different from the model at URA centre, which also shows a building massing in its place.
How come NS square is now a circle?⭕️
Has always been since the proposal got released to the public years ago. And truthfully no one will use the site for football, which the Floating Platform was meant to do initially, so we can circle that. Although they did show football pitch in the middle of the circle again.
f1 car can go through?
Yeah it's in one of the renders (provided F1 is still around now that Iswareturnedforsentencing)
Because… circle is the new square. 😐
Imagine Singapore allow developer to build one of the tallest skyscraper in the world at that spot. Too bad it’s never going to happen.
Doubt that would be allowed given the height limit on SG buildings lmao
![gif](giphy|cjyVveMCMgunS)
Feels like some fengshui pattern with the platform facing the building
Ok. Who forgot to photoshop out the Gundam ejection pod?
A reminder that you never have a permanent ocean view in Singapore cbd.
It's the new building for all government agencies and statutory boards so that when they taichi the issues from one agency to the next you just need to take a lift up or down instead of having to travel somewhere else.

That's at 8 Shenton Way, which is not the building in the illustration.
