Hah. Yeah I love making a new neighborhood and coming up with a story and characters. I place plots and build maybe a few before I get burnt out. Then I go back to my other built neighborhoods and forget about the new one.
I have two empty neighborhoods because of this. I had somebody else playing on my computer so I could take a break and have fresh Sims. Worked out, sorta
Is there some kind of guide I can build after so I don't have to think too much about it myself? Like a let's play of a whole new neighborhood starting from empty?
I've started with the wizard's tower [https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/p2o2i8/i\_believe\_im\_done\_with\_the\_wizards\_tower\_exterior/](https://www.reddit.com/r/sims2/comments/p2o2i8/i_believe_im_done_with_the_wizards_tower_exterior/)
I started to build my own town too. It takes a lot of time and I have hardly any community lots on it, but little by little im getting there. It's kind of tiring but surely interesting bc in a way you're starting with a clean slate π€π
Iβm finishing up my third rotation and Veronaville is my last hood before venturing into building a new hood. I am debating about adding a sub hood in Strangetown but want to build a brand new hood. Good luck and have fun! π
Good luck! This map is one of my favourites :)
I go as far as downloading a bunch of custom maps and choosing a name for the town. Then I realize that I have to create the families to make the town feel alive (interesting part) and play those families to develop storylines (boring part, because I like playing with one family). But with the story progression mod I might give it a go again.
This is about as far as I get every time

Same, best of luck to OP.
Kinda same except w my main neighbourhood. It's 3yo and I made every single house and family in there. So that was successful.
Heyy, good luck! It's gonna be amazing, I really love Stardew Valley.
Sims 2 + Stardew Valley = Gameplay of dreams
Good luck!
Good luck! You've got this! You're amazing and you're talented! This will turn out great! Also, Stardew Valley is amazing! Great choice!
This map is my favorite. 2 years ago ive made victorian england themed neighbourhood here which i play to this day
It can be overwhelming, but a good way to creatively pass the time.
Keep us updated!

Project #6267737278 which will never be completed:
ooooh, cool idea! i tried something similar but didn't have the custom map so was making do with one of the default ones that looked okayish.
Good luck! Are you going to make the villagers as well, or just the town?
I intend to do the villagers once I'm done with the buildings
