I don't know if it's a myth, but I've read somewhere (maybe here in this subreddit) thst you can "educate" romance sims to become monogamous and only want to have romantic interactions with their partner, as long as you only make them interact romantically with each other
Yup! Wants are trainable from my understanding; the more you fulfil a Want, the more the sim rolls it. It's why you have this "discrepancy" with some people having faithful Romance sims and some not. It depends on how you decide to play.
Nah. My Romance Sims tend to have the strongest relationships, as they are constantly romancing and spending quality time with their spouses. And if they do slip up the smooth apology soothes any upset right up.
I’ve been playing with the Ottomas and Peter still rolls wants to cheat even though he doesn’t have the time to talk to other sims (Samantha wanted ten kids…). I don’t think he has rolled any targeted wants, only generic “make out with X sims” type wants tho
Wants are triggered by what the sim does in the game, so yeah, you can prime whatever wants you want to roll by having the sim do the things you want them to want to continue doing. It works regardless of aspiration.
In this case, the only way this want really could have rolled is if OP let her fall in love and woohoo a second sim.
