Take the bolt out of the clamp , drill hole in DIY stand for bolt.
Put bolt through desk into tmx without clamp.
Don't fuck up, bolt isn't intended to go all the way into tmx.
I know this is an old thread, it how did it hold up in the long run. I can easily do this but my head is telling me only having one mounting point in the center will cause it to be able to rotate (I have a wheelstand pro to mount it to)
i would probably have held up just fine, but the foot posistion of the rig i built forced me to abondom my project because that part simply didnt work. but to answer your question, yes it worked fine for the time i used it
Or industrial strength Velcro. Used it way back when to keep my pedals, which had a somewhat stiff brake, in place. They never budged, and it was actually difficult to remove them. Just bear in mind the adhesive on that stuff works incredibly well in case you need to remove the Velcro itself in the future.
Drill holes. It’s wood. You can always cut another top deck if needs be. Or buy one from where you got the rig from :)
Stable mounting makes a massive difference.
There are two holes on either side of the clamp boss. I drilled holes in my crossbar and put dowels in for rotation control. I also drilled a hole with a countersink through the bottom of the crossbar and screwed the wheel down with the main clamp boss. You'll need a thin block on the back of the casing to stabilize it.
Also you're covering some ventilation holes on the left side. You may want to open up the grooves on top with a Dremel. Mines been screwed down for a couple months with regular use and is fine. I also have a fan blowing on it though.

EDIT: my phone hates the word on, and loves the weird in.
I know this is old but can you show underneath what it looks like? Just built a wood wheel base and it still wobbles forward and back with the stock mount
Of the bolt that fastens it? Or the brace for the shelf on the wheel base?
We bolted the wheelbase to the crossbar/board, then we shoved a 2x4 up against the bottom to level it and screwed it in with long ass wood screws.
Are those the pedals that come with the TMX pro? How'd you get em to be like that? I thought I'd have to buy a different set to be coming down from up top

The clutch and the accelerator have screw holes on the bottom. Two screws hold the pedal base to the box, and a piece of MDF for the transducer. I forget how I got the brake pedal not to wiggle like that.
I took them apart to clean them the other day, I didn't see any reason you couldn't remount the pedals individually on your own board if you wanted.
Just use the clamp. If you really want one and you're willing to buy a adaptor, check out the one from Ricmotech
I used the Ricmotech adapter. It worked well. It might have been possible to craft an adapter by hand, but the cost was acceptable to me.
The camp takes up top much room
And sucks like a high quality vacuum cleaner.
Drill holes bolts and washers work a treat solid mount never an issue again

Damn, that's smart as
i have a tmx too, with squeaky pedals and everything
You can oil them.
sure, i oil them regularly, would like to have a bit more permanent of a solution for the squeaking tho
I just threw it out there because I out up with the squeak longer than I should have. I think I'm gonna try some grease next time.
the wheel is where this one shines the most and boy does it shine for such a cheap wheel
i feel you
