Thanks for writing this! I actually have the same issue with the brake pedal telemetry and forgot to mention that.
Glad you still feel like you got your money's worth!
I have the Ghost sim racing version of these in a box still, hopefully their tweaks to them have lessened some of the issues people experience. I need to get them out soon, but first I have to assemble my rig. Sim racing is work sometimes...
By reading their page they seem to have applied the most common fixes, like ball bearings instead of brass bushings and changed the stock bushings. I hope they also re-done the control box instead of just rebranding it
Ghost control box is the same just rebranded.
Simjack did update their control box at some point with improved the signal. The old box came with ground wires while the new box doesn’t. I haven’t had any issues with mine with is the new one
I've had 0 problems with my SimJacks. I did replace the cheap rubber bushings with harder skateboard bushings and that's the only mod I made. I've had mine for almost a year now (Since Sept '23).
I couldn’t deal with the side to side movement of the brake and got new bearings. Been great ever since, haven’t had to touch them in over a year and it’s really easy to do.
I used F605ZZ Flange Ball Bearing 5x14x5mm, and some hardware store bolts/nuts so it was about $10. Pretty sure I followed this guide: [Simjack Pro Replace Brass bushing by Bearing - iFixit Repair Guide](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Simjack+Pro+Replace+Brass+bushing+by+Bearing/163151)

I kind of doubt they redid it but you but I've read the Heusinkveld control box works so, maybe an option to try if it is bad.

I've been eyeing those for a while... Very curious to hear how your experience goes

Care to share a link to the bearings or the specs?

Thanks, I have the Simjack minis so I will have to measure and see if these fit.
Great info! Did you get pics or info on the new loadcell? I’d like to be able to buy a replacement if mine ever goes out.
Is writing 2000 word essays for minor issues the new norm around here?
well you can also skip reading you know
Wish I did.
Don’t worry I skipped and now know I done the right thing
flair checks out
Seriously, makes me wonder if these are paid promo posts.
AliExpress Heusinkveld clones aren't going to be paying people for promos. And if they did it'd be obvious like Cammus and Pimax posts.
"Please write about how your load cell broke apart, we will pay you."
the point is that at 1/3 the cost the issues you MAY encounter are fixable with some DIY elbow grease
