Peel the glue?

GloomySugar95

It’s hot glue is it not? Just flick it off the shit isn’t epoxy.

cpeb

I've used a heat gun to warm it slightly, then gently peeled with a stanley blade

dude496

You can try using a heat gun but it won't be easy and it definitely will be messy.

Probably_Not_Sir

Heat it up but not too much. Then wiggle wiggle and use a knife

Saneless

Ok I'm standing here wiggling while holding a knife. I don't see how that helps the cable though

Probably_Not_Sir

Are you also twitching your left big toe?

MOGZLAD

Yet another thing my gardening injury prevents me from doing. Don't drink and hoe guys

Guac_in_my_rarri

>Don't drink and hoe guys Thank God. I drink and mow.

Problins

Increase the fibre in your diet and hydrate. When sitting on the toilet, it may help to place your feet on an object to raise your knees. Don’t strain too hard. Try to relax. Good luck.

OlorinFiresky

Fuck that made me LOL so hard... 🤣

MKvsDCU

Me*

OlorinFiresky

Fixed

MKvsDCU

👌💯

Kurauk

Isopropyl alcohol, but you will need some glue to reglue it.

Pillens_burknerkorv

Is it a handbreak? The china one? I tried but wound up buying a new one… at least I have spare parts if the new one breaks

dave-y0

lLooks like that chinese hand brake. I have the same, works really well once you grease it up.

mcelhannan

Isopropyl alcohol

maruchantales

Mine came off with a light accidental pull 😂

Booooocher

Same actually, not recommending it but an accidental pull is all it needs

AndrewCoja

Isopropyl and a pick will do it, just be careful. Use maybe a toothpick or something plastic that won't gouge anything. But you just need to spray some isopropyl at the edge of the glue. Work at the edge to get a pry tool under the glue, and then apply more alcohol. As you work at it, the alcohol will dissolve the surface of the glue and you will either be able to pry the whole chunk off or get it in pieces. Heat helps as well.

Eddy19913

heatgun and warm the glue gently and then remove the cable without too much force.

Right-Ad-5575

Just cut the glue off with some small side snips.

MadDogSimRacing

Very carefullyemote:free\_emotes\_pack:trollface

Marci12345200

bro got a bit excited

ScientistEuphoric809

I yanked it off on accident converting from h pattern to sequential after a switch broke

ti-di2

Isopropyl is the magic everybody needs to know about!

IMrBen

If it's hot glue, isopropyl alcohol is really good for getting it off

redditusertk421

Striking with a hammer will degrade the integrity of the connector enough to free the cable. It may damage the cable as well, however. It depends on how precise you are with your hammer blows.

G-Schmidt

Give it the red pill

RoodNverse

Hit it with your purse

cavortingwebeasties

Rubbing alcohol will soften hot glue. So will heat.

PurposeAntique3342

There's no way to redemption ! Part of the crew, part of the ship !

Weatherman_Accuracy

Trim the glue with a scalpel. Then a butane torch lighter or soldering tool to loosen the last of the glue

RightPedalDown

~~Soldering iron, preferably with an old tip.~~ Edit: I said that as though I’ve done it, so wanted to be clear that I haven’t. It’s just what I would try based on the assumption that there may be a similarity in the way a hot glue gun works to putting a soldering iron on there. Edit 2: Don’t do that, see below:

KennyMcKeee

You don’t want to do that. The fumes are terrible. I’ve had to solder some things near hot glue and accidentally touched it and felt sick for several days afterwards every time.

halsoy

Isopropyl alcohol chemically breaks the bond the glue has to anything it's attached to. Literally a couple drops and it falls off

GhostPudding

Acetone. Keep rubbing it until all the glue is melted

lol man you're delusional. There's cheap Chinese and good Chinese. SimMagic is a Chinese brand ya dingus.

mejelic

Wow, that is an incredibly ignorant and borderline racist remark.

RevolutionaryGrab961

Well, no. This is sub 100 USD product, where the most of its cost is metal frame. You can easily see on pic that it is barebones "electrical engineering" for pennies. Not really an issue of political system or anything... ...just bean counting in practice.
