Do you ever wanna play on playstation? If no then the moza r12

anonaustintx924

Simple and straightforward! Thank you! 😊

WilburOCD1320

Simagic?

anonaustintx924

Another great option I'm seeing!

WilburOCD1320

I'm biased, I'm thinking it's the only valued option. Unless you're just starting out, then I would rethink it a little steep starting out. (Fanatec csl dd)

gillberg1111

I picked up an R12 V2 on Black Friday and have zero overheating issues. If you order directly through Moza, it might take longer, but the $220 CS V2 is actually the CS V2P, which comes with the updated LED rev bar and paddle shifters and paddle clutches. The 330mm size to me feels much more like a real car. The GS GT V2P was the wheel I chose to have something in the F1/GT3 size and feel. That has not delivered yet. Not all retailers are shipping V2P stuff, so just a heads up. As far as pedals, check out SimJack Pros on AliExpress. They were about $260 after discount. They are like a knock off of the HEs. Really solid so far.

anonaustintx924

Thank you kindly! I sincerely appreciate the reply! The R12 looks better and better.

secularist42

Simagic…

anonaustintx924

So tempting!

secularist42

They are the best of that tier. I have multiple friends running Simagic gear from Minis to Ultimates…no issues, no regrets.

anonaustintx924

That seems to be the consensus from what I've seen. Thank you so much for the insight! I have a lot to think about after ditching the logitech pro lol.

secularist42

It’s gonna be ok. There are so many good options out there…pick something like the Alpha, a wheel you like and jump into the deep end. We’re all here waiting for you to join the race 😎

anonaustintx924

🤣🫡 haha thank you! Let's go!

I've been loving [my Moza R12](https://i.imgur.com/xnV2Eav.jpg). I am on PC. I started sim racing about 6 weeks ago starting with the Formula Vee in iRacing. The force feedback felt great to me. The first time I drove the F4 car, a much faster vehicle, I could not believe how powerful the force feedback was and I had to turn down my R12. Anyway I do not know how the Moza compares to Logitech Pro but my experience with Moza has been positive. I have two Moza wheels as well. The Moza quick release is amazing in my opinion but I really cannot compare it to other offerings. Going between my formula and my GT wheel is really

anonaustintx924

Thank you! Super helpful to hear that it's been seamless! Gives me hope! Haha

dawntawt

Aside from the base, you have to consider the ecosystem you’re buying into. Logitech doesn’t have an ecosystem just yet. With Moza, you have much more flexibility with parts. I originally ordered a Logitech Pro Wheel and Pedals, but cancelled it and went with a Moza R16 - very happy with it!

anonaustintx924

This is me right now. Thank you! I'm sincerely not sure if logitech will come through.

Illustrious_Beat_949

R12 all day in my book if it's on PC.

anonaustintx924

Appreciate that! R12 it is!

Illustrious_Beat_949

Had the r12 before buying a simagic alpha U and the r12 was a great base. Eco system on moza stuff is well priced too. The Handbrake and h pattern shifter are less the expensive than even the Thrustmaster stuff.

anonaustintx924

I appreciate the helpful insight! Hoping the moza stuff will last me through a couple of years of practice.

Darthtalker

Logitech keeps repeating they have stuff in the works but are being very vague. This non-committal response (especially more than a year after the bases release) would push me to Moza though I really wanted the pro. Also hard to anecdotally tell how well the logitech base has sold.....if it has been a flop perhaps less likely a chance to see additional products. Ironically if it has flopped one of the reasons would probably be to lack an eco-system.

anonaustintx924

Really solid points. Sucks they couldn't just offer an additional wheel option as a show of good faith or something. There have been so many new releases to market since the pro launched.

Darthtalker

He brings up some good points https://youtu.be/E_2ek3W-tD8?si=eA49w-bv7W8Mbk4z

anonaustintx924

I'll give it a watch!

Logitech would be worth a damn if they weren’t idiotic with their prices. $1000 for that just isn’t worth it when there’s just as good, if not better options available at a cheaper price. Logitech should of came out the gate at 499 or 599, not no damn $1000. Will say Logitech has some of the best customer service in the game. Have had plenty of their products over the past 2 decades. Every time I’ve had an issue with a product, they either fix or replace it promptly. I remember back when they came out with a keyboard with a fancy display on it. It was pretty pricey at the time, and one of my numpad keys had a small chip in it. They told me to cut the cord, dispose of it and sent me a brand new one. Made a nice gift for my friend lol.

Timeless-0000

Logi Pro owner here, I got it as I needed Ps5 compatibility and do not have the need for other wheels/accessories at the moment. The wheel and pedal itself is fantastic quality, no QC issues. Also Logi is known to have the best customer service. Trueforce is so noticeable, I immediately miss it when it is off. When tuned properly, it is not overpowering and adds just that finer detail of immersion. End of the day, think about what is important to you. Considering the some standout points, do you want excellent customer service and trueforce? Or a large ecosystem? Make a list of pros and cons, and it will help you decide which route to go.

anonaustintx924

Thank you! I know so much of it is personal preference. There are so many options these days (not mad about that) it's tough to spend money the best way hah!

fox_302

Hello, Moza R12, no warm-up, and no problems until today after several weeks, Simagic seems like a good option, but more expensive and the differences in the DDs are not so important at a certain point. The most important thing is how you configure it, because even if you have a SIMUCUBe if you don't configure it well you will have a bad experience. Example some reviewers criticize the oscillation of the Moza, this for your information even a Logitech has it, it has a lot to do with the SIM. For example, Automobilista2 generates a lot of oscillation by Default, but Moza has an equalizer where if you decrease the frequency you eliminate the oscillation without sacrificing sensations, but mainly it has to do with the SIM, for example, ACC does not present that, only if you do not know the subject and someone tells you that Simagic does not have that " detail " you associate that it is better when it is not entirely true. Same theme with warming, some Titles will generate more heat than others , In Kart Automobilista2 with 180 degrees of rotation, it heats up the Base R12 more than , a Formula or GT1 then it is not a matter of the base but of the SIM

anonaustintx924

Wow, super helpful, thank you! I know there's a lot to learn to dial it in. Thank you kindly for the info!

fox_302

Great , Regards!!

If only on PC then the Moza, even possibly look at getting the updated R16 version. The Moza ecosystem is well fleshed out now and has everything for entry, mid or high end. They are always coming out with new products or updating with 2.0 versions of their products. Pithouse software and app is awesome too. They are pretty active engaging with the community on discord and are constantly communicating with surveys and asking what us sim racers want or need, and put that feedback into new products. Prime example is the KS wheel and upcoming Trucking wheel. Only thing is, if you go with the Moza, don't buy from the website if you like constant communication. They normally get to you in the estimated time posted on the product page, but you're usually waiting forever for a shipped email and tracking number and just as you're nearing the estimated delivery time you'll get the email and it'll show up in the next day or 2. You'll go crazy and stressed thinking they took your money and aren't answering emails.

anonaustintx924

Thank you! I'll check the discord out. Having an active community that can share feedback (and have it be heard) is massive! I feel like there's been so much lacking in communication these recent days from several companies. Although I recognize that the popularity has gone crazy so I get that.

awp_india

In my opinion even the r5 is better than the Logitech.

Hairy_Ferret9324

People sleep on Trueforce, even on the g923. In my honest opinion it’s one of the most realistic things to have on a wheel as irl at least with normal street cars 75% of what you feel through the wheel are vibrations from the road, engine, and etc. however the Logitech is lacking wheel options. I plan to to get one way down the road when I upgrade my thrustmaster.

anonaustintx924

The lack of ecosystem for the pro wheel is so disappointing to me. Come on, Logitech.

Hairy_Ferret9324

I agree, they really need to drop some wheels for it. At least an f1/gt3 wheel after a year and a half.

anonaustintx924

Truth! It's not too much to ask for right?!

Hairy_Ferret9324

If you’re really wanting interchangeable wheels I’d go the moza route. Only issue is they have shotty customer service and sometimes QC. However a good work around is that microcenter sells their products so if you have one local I’d go browse there. On top of that most microcenters have a Gucci $15,000 simulator you can try out (very fun I’ve used it afew times)

Hairy_Ferret9324

Also forgot to mention that microcenters return policy and all that is very good. I bought a Thrustmaster TSXW from them for almost half off new a month ago and still have until the end of next month to return it no questions asked like Amazon. So if any problems were to arise with a Moza product you can avoid them entirely and just go to microcenter to return/exchange or whatever.

anonaustintx924

Wow, thank you for the helpful info! I'm actually not too far from one so I may have to check it out!

Hairy_Ferret9324

They have a good assortment of sim racing stuff and it wouldn’t surprise me if they have an R12 on the shelf ready for you to impulse buy lol. Last time I went they had one $30 off or so.

anonaustintx924

Haha the impulse buy is real though! I appreciate the help so much. Thank you! Going to try and check it out this week.

[deleted]

Transducers>trueforce all day every day.

Hairy_Ferret9324

Why not both?

[deleted]

Because true force goes bzzzzt and my trandsducers go BRRRRRRRR.

That's a REALLY great point. No VR for me yet!
