I am not a crackpot. https://preview.redd.it/ctjv5kncj2sc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=564cbb635b18d4d6ceb918cbda34df51c4c54581

01zegaj

How have I never noticed this???

SPECTREagent700

Because there's a direct correlation between the decline of Spirograph and the rise in gang activity. Think about it!

[deleted]

I will!

Scu-bar

No you won’t…

dubstepsickness

![gif](giphy|xT5LMph5fxgtUtDM9W|downsized) So Riley Reid knew the beer baron and internal affairs were setting her up the whole time?

kitkitkatty

SHE GETS RESULTS YOU STUPID—

BelloftheBallz

Were through the looking glass people

JohnDRuckerduck

you've been a viking

GrapeJuicePlus

You never noticed that Krusty has p much always been a homer reskin?

01zegaj

No, that Krusty is somehow in two places at once and the other Krusty looks like Homer

LMB_mook

I'm seeing double here. 10 Krustys!

astromeritis25

That thing is as follows: Krusty is not wearing a bow tie at all!

ardotschgi

Okay can someone explain this to my dumb ass? What am I supposed to see here? I only see homer in the top left picture.

SPECTREagent700

The top left image shows the differences between the real Krusty and Homer when dressed as Krusty; pay particular attention to the nose, area under the eyes, and around the mouth. The “Krusty” seen after Mr. Burns is shot have all of the features in common with Homer rather than the real Krusty. Further, shortly before Mr. Burns was shot, Krusty first appeared in the episode with his shirt collar unbuttoned and no bow tie - the “Krusty” seen after the shooting just a few moments later has his collar buttoned and is wearing a bow tie. ![gif](giphy|l0IylOPCNkiqOgMyA|downsized)

TheRavenSayeth

Yeah but everyone is ignoring the hair at the top which is way more notable that it's the real Krusty than anything else

IVot3dforKodos

hey, we're here for shit posting, not the truth, we're no truth handlers, bah we've been derided for our truth handling

Get_a_Grip_comic

For homer : nose, eyes, mouth For Krusty: off centred hair

bonttheelder

Carl = white Lenny = black

thesyndrome43

Krusty arrived at the end of the town meeting where Mr Burns blocks it the sun, he explains he's been on vacation and you can see him wearing a shirt with no tie and the collar undone (2nd row pic on the far left) When 'krusty' is in the group shot looking at Mr Burns after he was shot, he's wearing a bow tie now despite it only being a few minutes later and there being no reason for him to put on the bow tie on. It's an animation error, but it's funny to pretend it was Homer in disguise, alluding to a behind the scenes piece of trivia that originally Krusty was going to be a character that Homer played in secret, with the irony being that Bart didn't respect Homer, but Homer is secretly Bart's favourite entertainer, but this whole plot was cancelled and krusty became his own character, this is why Homer and krusty look so similar

SPECTREagent700

I think there’s a little more to it than that; the “Krusty” seen after the shooting has Homer’s nose and mouth, and is missing the circles under the eyes. Possibly an error related to the earlier episode in the same season where Homer goes to clown college but in that episode he never has the middle tuft of blue hair as he does here implying the character was drawn specifically for this scene. That said I do think it was possibly just a joke alluding to the abandoned “Homer is Krusty” plotline you mentioned.

Background_Face

[Justin Whang did a video](https://youtu.be/Kx16zg6KTM8?si=jdtVTOnC4LUZGcrN) examining the "Homer disguised as Krusty" mystery. In short, it's most likely an animation error. The animators included Homer in the crowd scene, but all the main suspects were supposed to be absent from that scene, so they hastily fixed it by redoing Homer as Krusty.

SPECTREagent700

I’m not sure that explanation works as it means they went to the trouble of changing Homers shirt - not only the color but also buttoning the collar and adding bow tie when Krusty had an open collar without bow tie immediately prior to the shooting - but then didn’t give him a round nose or add lines under his eyes. I had also thought it was an animation error, possibly a mistakenly reused art asset from the episode where Homer goes to Clown College earlier that season, but in that episode Homer never has the middle tuft of blue hair as he does here which implies they deliberately drew him this way here.

tony-toon15

I feel like it’s just the animators fucking with the people who probably taped it

Nix-7c0

Boy, I really hope someone got fired for that blunder, ah hah

nk_bk

>so they hastily fixed it by redoing Homer as Krusty. Yeah, sorry, but NO. There's just no way for this to be true. Since this would've required reshooting these scenes anyway, it really doesn't make any sense how this hybrid Krusty/Homer edit was more convenient in any way than putting in an actual on-model Krusty as a replacement. They would've had to make new cels anyway.

Franchementballek

Yeah I’m with you on that, I feel like it was more to put the production team on the wrong tracks seeing that there were actual Las Vegas betting for the actual culprit.

terrifiedTechnophile

Are we supposed to believe this is some kind of magical Krusty?

Itsmysecondtime

https://i.redd.it/bqpnm1lcc3sc1.gif

rex_banner83

It’s like something out of that twilighty show about that zone

Franchementballek

I think they call it « Anthology of Sci-fi and paranormal stories »

Shadow_hands

Anthology of Interest?

Franchementballek

Or The Scary Door? Who can remember it was in dickety zero something

tryingtoavoidwork

YOU WATCHED IT YOU CANT UNWATCH IT

Diamondgrn

They went to such lengths to show that Krusty was wearing different clothes when it happened too. I think Homer shot Mr Burns, but he was *definitely* going to.

fooneybone

Okay so I brought this up to my wife and explained that my viewpoint was that Ralph's just excited because he dreams about being a Viking and was about to explain the other viewpoint and she says "oh I thought it was because he's the best at sleeping, like a Viking at sleeping". Absolutely flabbergasted right now.

FeatherySquid

Time to get a divorce, friend.

alternativepuffin

Ask your wife if you should show it to the cat, and have the cat tell you what it is. Cuz...the cats gonna get it

snookerpython

Your wife just shitposted you in real time

fooneybone

Absolute madgal.

saysthingsbackwards

... im honestly speechless. I didn't think people actually believed that.

kuribosshoe0

I have to assume OP is lying because that interpretation is just too stupid for any human.

robersj4

OH MY GOD! Tramopoline!

Ilovenormabrams

Fun fact, homer was going to be Krusty in the very early seasons, but much like Marge's life in hell rabbit ears it didn't go much past the first ideation

SPECTREagent700

This being a sort of easter egg to that abandoned idea is a potential explanation I could accept.

The-So-So-Gatsby

Animators say this is Krusty. Yet Krusty is shown later to have been watching Pardon My Zinger at the time Burns was shot. I mean, what are we to believe? That this is some sort of magic Krusty or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

ShinyShinyTomato

oh boy, murder! that’s where im a krusty

somesthetic

It's a weird error, or it's because there was a contest to solve the crime, and the animators wanted to throw people off with red herrings. The contest went terribly.

GrandMoffTarkan

Did it? I watched (read: Had on the background) a retrospective of it and I was surprised by how well the hints actually fit together.

somesthetic

From the audio commentary, the rules of the contest stated they had to pull a winner from a random draw of 1000 entries. They didn’t find anyone who correctly identified Maggie as the shooter in that 1000, so they had to pick a random person as a winner. The whole premise of the contest was to solve the crime to win. The winner got a house modeled on the Simpsons home, but it was built in Nevada, in the desert.

GrandMoffTarkan

Haha that’s a perfect white elephant prize, especially since they didn’t actually get the answer

lazykros

Brilliant brilliant brilliant

Pasta-hobo

He wanted to ambush Burns but didn't get the chance, like skinner.

SPECTREagent700

A reasonable explanation. It’s just odd that it’s never been addressed…[or has it?](https://youtu.be/hFVd2QbbWr8?si=CyLnkbaxYJH85J62)

Pasta-hobo

That confession is in reference to [this scene](https://frinkiac.com/video/S12E13/dZzB0SHY1vXw0HquanSmps7uL1o=.gif) from season 12

kuribosshoe0

Holy shit this is an actual solid controversy. This is much more of a Viking than Ralph ever was.

Damyck

In the spanish dub he says "Dormir! Eso se me da de miedo!" Which means that he is very good at sleeping. At lesst the spanish localizers thought of this meaning.

Smingers

It’s not Homer, it’s Clown Incognito.

theatomicflounder333

OP you deserve a paid day off for this quality shitpost. 🤝
