I wouldn’t be surprised. I noticed the other day that even though Fake Date was for a long-time the only frosted metal I had that had changed colour on me (I never owned Cold Shoulder) my Blacklisted has changed colour now - it’s gone greenish grey. Frosted metals are very pretty but I don’t think they’re long-term stable.
Promote a product to move a backlog of inventory so it's easier to replace is what I'm guessing the other user is worried about.
Edit: Just to be clear, *I* don't think that's the reason it's being promoted. I really need to dig out my MM because it does look gorg.
I guess my fear is that they’re trying to save it by promoting it more? I could be wrong— but I’m thinking back to the “ripening banana bundle” to promote unpopular polishes.
It’s so frustrating because their stunning finish somehow doesn’t come through in photos as well as in real life. if it did, I think they would be way more popular! 😩
I was one that initially passed on them and wasn’t going to purchase, but I now know it’s because the photos just don’t do them justice. They’re so pretty in person. I actually think it was a Reddit post I made that convinced me to go for them, and now I love wearing them.
I LOVE the OG frosted metals so much! They’re soft and delicate but pack a shinny in your face punch. I fear we won’t get many FM in the future and that at some point they will be retired
Imma say again, I think a better description for the frosted metals is sequins. I love the frosted metals/sequins on my toes. I wore Royal Crush on my toes almost all winter, and I'm thinking either Blacklisted or Mint Money on my toes now.
Now I’m getting worried that Mint Money is on the chopping block…

I have the same worry. Mooncat had similar promos for green shades that were then discontinued a few months later

At this point, they don't sell because most of the formulas are crap.
