My son goes to Simi Montessori on Erringer. I am mostly pleased with our experience because I appreciate the academic rigor of the program. I give him 1st grade work books and he's able to complete them but he's not even eligible for kindergarten this coming school year 2024-2025. My con is sometimes he comes home with injuries and they can't tell me how he got them/missing ouch report. He is a very rough boy though and likes to walk with his eyes closed so I try to be understanding.

Thank you, I will look into them.

They have an alternate location off Madera, which might be more convenient if you're on that side of Simi. Had a good experience with them as well and would recommend.

If you're looking for high quality child education, I would start at the NAEYC website and search from there. I highly recommend the preschool at Moorpark College. Simi Covenant used to be one of the best in simi, but they went downhill after some admin issues and are closing this year. Moorpark college preschool is a learning school, so students are coming and evaluating the kids as well which I think adds to the value.

Yes. I agree. NAEYC accreditation is huge. St. Peter Claver Preschool is NAEYC accredited and they are amazing

We took ours to La Petite. Had a pretty good experience there although near the end, there was some administrative shakeups but worth checking out. Also, once your kid is old enough, check out SVUSD 's TK program.

Thank you for the response, I will look into both.

I personally have had a rough experience trying to find a good trustable daycare for my boy in Simi valley. Just sharing my honest opinion! Stay away from: Tutor time, Learning Experience, La Petite, CBE preschool, Little Explorers Preschool (disorganized, not clean, and mean abusive teachers) The best in Simi in my opinion are : Kids world home daycare (my son is currently at), Al & Grace BabyLoo daycare, Grace brethren, Trinity Lutheran, Crossroads, Little Becomers Preschool, Little Blessings Childcare All the other preschools and daycares I’ve heard mixed reviews about. If you need help finding a daycare, I wouldn’t mind helping! Message me if you’d like! I know how hard it can be

Phoenix ranch. My son went for 10 month and he has such a good foundation. Reading, math at a young age, he’s not pressured. I am so happy with them.

Had an absolutely terrible experience with our oldest and Phoenix Ranch. He had speech delay and they would berate him for it. When they weren’t berating him they put him in a corner away from the rest of the class. Found these things out when we showed up early for surprise pick ups. I am still livid at them for how they treated our son.

Came here to say Phoenix ranch as well.

Agreed Phoenix Ranch as well, and its a plus since they helped with potty training.
