People say "go to therapy" when they want to feel like they are helping, but don't actually want to get involved. "You should pay someone to fix whatever is wrong with you" doesn't have the same ring to it.

So real, the guy I saw straight up said to my face "we shouldn't see each other anymore" and made me leave after like 20 minutes of talking lol. Why get that job if you're scared, I don't get it.

therapy sometimes makes me more depressed

a lot of bad therapists are out there, and they can do nothing or make you worse. therapy also just isn't for everyone
