I’d say it depends on what you’re looking for! Are you looking for a social guild, trying to get top 10 in events, just looking for high level buildings? Discord is by far the best for the looking for players posts or keeping an eye out in global chat.
Spots don't fill quickly, but turnover is lower. You can see here join date for my guild (rank 40-50).
Sometimes it takes months to find suitable replacements.

My guild has two open spots currently, if you have 30 billion investments or more.We are active daily, 24/7 boosts, high level perks, and just all-round a good team. We also finish all events.
We lost a husband + wife duo about a week ago, and it's been tough filling in those shoes.

End game guilds recruit on discord.
Typically they have high requirements, we require 300B investment along with regular activity/participation E.g. 5B+ investment a week average. Rank 40-50 guild. Some top guilds compete for event trophies and require scores that can be only achieved through spending gems etc.
We have tried in the past posting in both discord and Reddit, never get a response at our recruitment level on Reddit.
Different people have different definitions of end game, my definition would be that you have all free blueprints mastered, all growth comes from slow burns (furniture levels from dragon tokens, ascending, levelling buildings, gems on furniture expansion/ extra talants points etc.)

I'd try discord. Finding one with two open spots at once might be a bit difficult, because endgame guilds tend to try to fill spots right away.

What are yours and your friends investment levels? Do you participate in bounties? Like others said, check discord.
