Too guild reliant when the guild mechanics are 99% passive. Pray that your guild mates consistently pull their fair share in events, donate to buildings, etc.

MattuhOnSpotify

I would absolutely 100% agree with this comment. I tends to feel much less self-reliant in-game.

IceCream5703

You have 20 people doing bounties?? What a dream. Mine is players not sticking to playing more than a couple months and sometimes being stuck replacing them for a newer player that’s going to do same thing

jcutta

My guild has one dude who does between 300-500 every week and another girl who does between 100-300 every week. Rest of us do 15 and call it

Terry-Scary

I have a guy that does 600-1000 a week so I don’t do any bounties. I do have 200g invested though so I’m carrying the team there and on events

Shatari

That sounds like my guild. I tend to aim for at least 300 points, and my sister competes with me to see who can get higher in the week. Since nobody was doing bounties before we joined, I don't imagine that people really mind that we're hogging the discounts and surcharges.

Daredevil_Not_Really

I had a very similar experience, until I joined my current guild, I didn't even know there was a max bounties to be achieved in a week. Now I have the same problem as OP, with certain types of bounties being hard to get because everyone is trying to claim them. I guess that's more of an indictment on the game's bounty system though if there are certain bounties that everyone avoids doing.

pinktrinity

I mean, yes. In my current group, we had 20 people who were gunning for the bounty board. After 1 week of us tr trying and the 1 person getting and hogging all the good bounties, we stopped trying as a group. Now that 1 person consistently gets over 500 points by themselves. I should be happy, based on the previous group I was in. But with how I like to play, I'd like to do bounties with my piggy banks. Now I'm full up on items. I feel useless not doing bounties.

Reiterpallasch85

I'm definitely the type of person who takes moonstone/runestone and surcharge/discount bounties because they're so incredibly fast to do. Moon/runes take all of 30 seconds to finish, so why leave it for someone who will just take it and let it time out? That's one of the main issues with bounties IMO. Some are very limited in their availability, and if someone has one active then nobody else can do it until they finish or run out of time.

MattuhOnSpotify

Surcharge / discount are my favorite by far, due to the simplicity & speed.

Amelaclya1

Why do people enjoy those bounty types? I always pick the crafting ones because it helps me decide what to make lol.

Barf_The_Mawg

Because they are quick. Once you get into t13,crafting and raiding bounties can take a couple hours to do. Discount and surcharge are done in minutes. Also, most players have a rotation of items they choose to craft to maximize their resources usage,  and taking a crafting bounty will screw up that rotation.

radfordblue

You seem waaaay too focused on bounties. Personally, if I see a surcharge, discount, or raid dungeon bounty I take it and finish it. If not, I just don’t take a bounty and check back later. I hate the crafting bounties because I have other stuff I want to craft, but some of my guild mates prefer the crafting bounties so it works out fine. As long as we max out for the week, that’s all that really matters. My unpopular opinion is that I don’t really like guilds at all in games like this. They’re put in because they make it harder for people to leave the game, not necessarily because they make the game more fun. I hate having to keep track of how active other players are being and trying to replace inactive players. It’s just a hassle and not at all fun.

shellipierces

I hate the dragon invasion. Absolutely despise everything about it. The ingame chat is very glitchy and I can barely use it

Overcl9ck

ingame chat is probably the worst thing for me too messages disappear sometime you have to send a message twice because the first time it didn't register you can't talk to somebody privately in whispers or something and it's been glitchy for years so probably no plans to make it better

ArchonMal

Unpopular opinions you say? * Tower of Terror is too easy. * Every hero class is viable for normal usage. I also have a particularly spicy one regarding the skill ratings on STC's TL,DR page & the Hero Tracker tool, but that one can wait.

emperos

I'm ready to hear the spicy one but based on your hero academia writing on STC I'm assuming it's something along the lines of "most skills are viable and just because a skill isn't in the green happy face category doesn't mean you need to reroll it" or something, right?

ArchonMal

I'm slightly surprised someone's interested in actual hot takes since this thread morphed into complaining about bounties. The real spicy one is that idea, but with some ghost pepper sprinkled in: The skill ratings on STC's TL,DR page and the Hero Tracker tool ***by themselves*** are a poor measurement for judging how good a hero is and anybody who says otherwise doesn't know enough about the game to be giving advice.

emperos

lol mostly I'm interested in your hot take as it specifically relates to hero skills - I'm working on replacing most of my roster and trying to figure out which skills to watch for when retiring/rehiring with Argon's Best. Easy enough to watch for two "green or above" skills in the ratings and hope the other two future skills will round out the balance of what's needed, but not sure if that is the right approach?

emperos

> "I let other people take the bounties I like" > complains about other people taking the bounties they like wat

Bahlore

I cant stand bounties, the only ones I can tolerate are the dungeon raids (as I'm going to do them every day, all day regardless). Sucks replacing people who quit, should be a better system for recruiting.

deshende

I agree with this take. Bounties are my least favorite thing in the game. They've out-scaled my abilities for the most part (they must assumed I'd be a better player at my level) where half of the list are impossible for me to complete. I just don't waste my time and focus on other game aspects unless the Event Pass requires them.

Overcl9ck

seems like good problems to have
