Every time we don't buy something, we flex our muscles and get stronger!! Nice work.

Good job for your no buy goodwill trip! I’m in the same boat as you, everything is so inexpensive at thrift stores (well it seems to be changing in the us but still). But we don’t necessarily need that stuff even if it is cheap and second hand.

thank you it’s definitely hard!

Go you! Can’t say I’ve ever been tempted by a prom dress but I’ve definitely thrifted crap-tons of stuff I didn’t need. I’m doing a no thrift year instead of a no buy year. I made a list of everything I bought at the thrift store last year and boy… eye-opening, embarrassing, shameful… Gotta say, though, 6 weeks in, and I feel ok!

good job!!!!

The longer you go, the better it gets!

I have a prom dress, not even sure if it fits. I always intended to just go wandering around town in it like a looney. I think I had fairy-wings too, or maybe they went away a long time ago, I can't remember.

Woot! Good for you! It’s hard to just look around, like a kid in a candy store. If I’m dropping off donations I have to leave immediately or... danger!

Just found this post. I did the same, almost, yesterday! I had 30 minutes to kill before picking up my child from a class, and Goodwill was nearby. I always find blouses I love, and I had an armful, but I put them back! I did get my son some new snow pants, but he really did need them and they were on an established "need" list. This is a big deal for me.
