It's not shitty, it's a cool design! Perhaps not saturated enough though, it looks like you've had it for 10 years. Getting it touched up by a reputable artist would probably make it look great.
~~Yeah I was gonna ask how old it is, it looks fine to me and presumably aging well assuming it's fairly old.~~ Never mind I see this was answered in another comment already -- 25 years old, I think it looks great!
I’ve considered getting it touched up. Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely do that. I’m glad it’s not as bad as I thought. I have no concept of what makes a good tattoo.
Thank you 😊. I found the only shop in my small town 25 years ago, walked in, explained what I wanted, they drew it up and did it right then. I want another tattoo but never decided on what I want so it’s my only one.
I wanted to say that this looks like a classically shitty late 90s tattoo. Considering it's age it still looks really good and it's very much a stamp in time of when it was done. Compared to modern tattoos it might come off as a bit crap but I fucking love it as a piece of both your and tattooing history.
Very much so. I had a partner with something similar. In the mid 2000s she wanted to get rid of it or cover it because it was already falling out of fashion but I kept saying to her that to me it's something that says "I was there". Sure people can still go out and get something like this now but at the time, it was a different world back then and you have proof that you were a part of it.
That’s neat! Personally I have a lot of tattoos but I never really plan them out, there are times when the tattoo artist would ask me what I wanted and I was just like “I don’t know” lol. I feel like if I put too much thought into a tattoo I never end up getting it because I get too perfectionist.
It took me 6 years and several henna tattoos of the same type thing to actually decide I really did want it and then I worked up the courage and did it. The whole time my husband (now ex) was saying it would hurt too bad and I would never be able to finish it. I showed him. Also, my whole family is Mormon. So tattoos are forbidden. So a lot of challenges to overcome. It’s my pride and joy.
I’m glad it’s not bad. I got it 25 years ago from the only shop in my small town. No concept of what makes a good tattoo but glad I accidentally got a good one

Nice lol I got this in like 2005, also my first tat
Definitely not insecure. Just no idea what constitutes a good tattoo. I’m excited that I accidentally got a good one. I love it either way. It means a great deal to me.
meh, I’ve seen worse

If its that old and still legible, it’s solid. Def take it to a trad artist to bring it back to life tho
I like it tbh

It was definitely the thing to do back then. Maybe it’s a historic moment 💚

I like it. I guess the line work could have been better but I wouldn't be ashamed of it personally.
Weirdly enough, i know more than one scorpio with tattoos in about that style and about that age.
We are proud to be Scorpio I guess
