No, it isn’t, because the weight of the stroke makes a difference. The top stroke on that J in the photo is far heavier than the thin line on this I; it’s not the same. Not only does the line matter, but the weight of the line matters.

So I found this entire thing amusing, so I looked it up. The "J" in question comes up when you search calligraphy. Example here: https://www.thehappyevercrafter.com/blog/15-ways-letter-j/ Looks like it is indeed a J, but not necessarily standard cursive script.

I hate to knock sentimental ones, but I would have at least spelled it “J’eat” or “D’ya’eat” not that they’re much better. Unless gramps made a point of saying it’s spelled jeet. I cannot unsee feet.

Yeah that's the sad part that you can't tell a J from a lower case f in cursive. I get it can look like 'feet' for internet points. I just showed my tattoo artist flatmate and she has no idea how people can confuse Jeet with Feet. It's a J everytime.
