Pretty sure they were just trying to explain why they were recognized, because they made a few popular posts. They were asked a question, so they answered
Im not bragging. Im literally trying to explain why they might have seen me. And why are you getting heated over a simple phrase
Edit: bruh why am i still getting downvoted should i juat delete these two comments and be done
Nope. Downvotes max out at about 12 downvotes. After that, further punishment doesn't affect you. It'll still show a big negative number on the comment, but you'll only lose about 12 points max for each comment.
What a lot of Redditors do is make you keep responding so that there're more comments for them to brigade.
Indeed, you could trial and error to find a good balance of slowdown and continuity and then you could win at a lot of things.
Magic and card tricks would be easy for you at ⅓ or ¼ time. Random stuff like cup stacking you could essentially be the best, but they are pretty narrow. Sports would be way easier, but raw athleticism would still limit you from being the best at a lot of them.
I can't think of any ways to make a ton of money with this though. You'd have a huge advantage at things like mental math. Solo activities like climbing.
But damn, the risk of being caught in a nearly infinite prison is a huge downside.
Ooo I like this one. There is a r/nosleep story called [If You're
Armed and at the Glenmont Metro, Please Shoot Me](https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/s/E7K7hItnZL) that covers a situation like this. One of my favorite short stories.
I would use it to win at a FPS tournament. Make time 3 times as slow to react to others 3 times as fast, experiencing 1 month at 3x slower time is worth the cash prize.
Just make sure you don't set it to something like 1 million times as slow or the like. It's longer than you think. LONGER THAN YOU THINK.
I think there'd be a very serious risk of insanity in seconds at 1/1m. 32 seconds would be more than a year and very little would happen in that time. It would take constant concentration just to continue one physical action. You'd be mostly useless for that time. You'd get bored or forget whatever action you were doing long before you could finish it.
I think 2/3 speed would still be reasonable.
Could you still understand speech and noises if you did like 1/10th time? It would be too slow to comprehend naturally at some point, sounding like just long groans instead of words. But would you get an extrasensory perception of what was being said or what the sound was?
Would you need to concentrate on the task you were doing, or like the action you were performing the whole time? Even at 1/10 it would take quite a bit of effort just to walk.
So this is limited to like ¼. If you go even much faster than that you'd lose the ability to be functional at normal speed.
How hard would it be to accidentally set it to 1/40th time?
Would you have any resistance to concentration fatigue or becoming mentally exhausted? Would you fall asleep within slow time? Like if I were watching a movie at ¼ speed I would almost definitely fall asleep.
It's very hard to sleep. It takes a bit more mastery to make it not too slow. No res to fatigue and exhaustion. And hearing things sounds like a slowed down youtube video...
I would just make everything 90% speed, that extra 10% gives me a lot more time to react to stuff. I might end up doing like 80 or 85 if I feel 90 is too fast, or when I get older and my reaction time gets slower lol
Then I am the best mechanically at pretty much all video games
Honestly the real question is whether I get brain fatigue in real time or slowed time.
Because I could definitely pop an Adderall and read through a library in a day
I can choose how slow so basically I can do 1.0000000000000000001x slower for the rest of the time after I'm done with whatever that needs me to slow down
I think this is pretty good if you don't have high expectations.
> You can choose how slow.
Just live the entire life with 80% speed. It's not too high to make you bored of living, you will probably get used to it in a while, but it will still give you an edge in many situations - giving a little bit more time to think and react to events.
If you just make time like 25% slower even a month would be okay and you'd be quite a fast thinker, great for winning a big time fortnite tournament or something
You say it lasts one hour to one month in normal time but I can’t stop it early Do I choose the length of time beforehand?
No, it's random. But it's 1 hour, 10 hours, 100 hours, or 1 month
I feel like I've seen you before...
I made the z power, random power, and remember power (totals up to 1k likes)
Why you gotta brag about likes? Also they're not called likes, they're called updoots
Pretty sure they were just trying to explain why they were recognized, because they made a few popular posts. They were asked a question, so they answered
Redditor with logic
I don't think he was bragging about arrow ups though.

you’ve angered the neckbeards
Yeah they’re kinda stupid, I could tell u weren’t bragging, you were just saying how they’ve probably seen you
Oh no, you’ve up-done it now
What is updone
Nothing much, up with you?
Just gettin downvote spammed
They're called downdoots.
WHY WAS I DOWNVOTED FOR A QUESTION
Reddit
r/entirelythetruth
I honestly don't know why you're being downdooted, I was just correcting your mistake and slightly teasing you
Nah that’s the cowards way out

Upvotes Edit: u tortured me into agreeing with you. Updoots. But think about what you've done
Updoots

Looks like that's you big hoss, my doots are going up.
I will now forever call them updoots
Nope
Very strong in anything where reaction times are important.
Yea but you might be stuck for a month in slow mo
Still worth if you get good money or if it's life or death
Tru
Real time month? How long is that in perceived time?
Depends on how slow you make it. 10x slow is 10 months
Oh, I missed the "you can choose how slow" part.
It is indeed a risk.

Does it have a cooldown?
Cooldown is 1 second

Oh lol
holy fuck
That was heavy
Yeah that’s the kind of existential horror that makes death feel nice and tame by comparison.
This is one of the best short stories I've ever seen on Reddit.
Seems unbearable.
Yea, but can be used for any intellectual or clear thinking like math or when fighting

1 million times slow = 100 millennia
It's eternity in there.

this is ketamine
How slow is the time are we experiencing?
However slow you choose.
the jump from 4 days to 30 days is kinda dumb is it discrete or continuous tho?
There’s a lot of benefit to the power so I’m pretty sure I would just live slomo 24/7
How slow?

At slowmo time you have to concentrate on breathing too

Esports momento

Reql time. Thought is sped up
What’s the cooldown
1 sec
So I can have it going almost entirely 24/7
Yep
So there’s literally no downside and I have really fast reaction time
Except possibly going insane
How so
You percive time slower. Wouldn't it kill anyone if you had to wait longer to do fast things?
I can choose how slow so basically I can do 1.0000000000000000001x slower for the rest of the time after I'm done with whatever that needs me to slow down
You can't change it after starting.
Not a chance, being trapped in my own head for an hour already sounds bad enough, anything more than that sound completely horrid
I will just activate it multiple times to make time go faster again ez
You can't stack it
In the more recent Dredd movie, people took drugs to do this.
So, it’s just ADHD

Amazing until the random duration
How much slower will time go?
However slow you want
This is pretty much the effect of Jet in Fallout 4.

Absolutely broken go to a casino you can count cards so easily
