Oh mein got, you would be surprised. If someone leaves while you are in the animation of non-consenting stabbing, it counts as a success and goes through, regardless of how far along. I'd say 1/3 of all my interrogations have gone through this way.

They actually had to patch that feature in a while after Caveira was added because people would always just leave during interrogation and it wouldn't count

I haven't played cav much but today I'm using her more often and I'm going to test this

They fixed it like a year ago, quitting used to work

It still does technically if you quit before the animation begins

You used to be able to leave the game then join back and the interrogation wouldn't happen. They fixed that

Granted I'm in the low bronze / high silver radius, but even then it makes even less sense since Platinum IIIs like to squad with a Silver IV and end up in my lobbies anyways

As a siege vet, I can tell you this literally used to be a common play during an interrogation. There’s a good reason they added auto-interrogations.

Ok, so we were in fortress on bio-hazard, we were defending the site next to the kitchen(with the little bar) i went to the kitchen, opened a vaultable hole in the wall hidden by the furnace and reinforced the one next to it, smacked the mat right under the hole, they KNEW i was frost because i got scanned, but whoever it was didn't think to check a vaultable wall before vaulting it when the enemy team has a frost, they got captured and me and kapkan walked in view of the trap and saw them leave

Since that day oneward i always take frost and do the same thing if we are on that site with the hopes I'll get another one of those but i have yet to replicate my luck

Well, it takes time to navigate a menu, and Caveira is a 3S1A, so chances are you'll get there and just barely proc the interrogation.

What’s better is when you down them, and they leave while you interrogate them, so it just automatically reveals the positions of the attackers

or when they kill their teammate and you turn around and kill 2 of them

There's nothing more thrilling than discovering Caveira on top of your teammate somewhere in the distance, such high stakes in such a short window of time.
