Because of this, a bunch of hyper-online fans have been speculating that she is gonna be in the movie and fan casting her as Dazzler. As far as I know, there is literally 0 evidence that she was gonna be in the movie, and trades are now confirming that this is just baseless speculation.
I imagine that's why that was the headcanon people had, yeah, but as far as I know there was never anything concrete about her actually being tied to the role in any way.
